We should have gone for the upstairs a la carte. The lunch sushi buffet was acceptable. But it nowhere near the standard quality of normal sushi. I've done some research and apparently one really has to go for the a la carte here. Oh well, maybe next time!

Quite new nepalese restaurant, located in West Harbour. So very suitable for cruise passengers. It is very clean and they have many vegetarian and vegan dishes. Everything was tasty but as always, nepalese food is very oily, not light at all.

We had a lunch in this Vietnamese restaurant and was my first visit there. Have to say, that I was very positively surprised how good their food was! Can't remember my portion name but as my wife said, it's always the first on they lunch menu :-) Chicken, coriander, baked sweet potato, noodles, spring rolls and very tasty sauce. It might be difficult to find a way to the restaurant, it's on the second floor but signs are good enough to find the place. Service was like a fast-as-a-shark, and very friendly. My strong recommendation!

Food is ok but prices are just ridiculous. Paying 8 Euros for one small dumpling is simply not ok.We had Peking duck for main course and paid 34 ⬠for two small duck legs, 4 small pancakes and some sallad leaves and sauce. I do not like wasting money and this is simply too much. Wonder how they attract all the young people to eat there when a dinner for two with cheapest bottle of wine easily surpasses â¬200.

We found this place, while we were in Helsinki for the day. The lady in charge is so welcoming and very bubbly. The food we had was delicious, staff keep topping up your drinks and water for you. Very basic inside, but full of locals enjoying a tasty meal.

Such a nice and delicious place to have dinner at! I went with a friend and we shared several dishes. The value for money is excellent especially that the dishes are full of colour and aromatic spices. The furniture (chairs, wall paper, sofas) used in the restaurant are very dark coloured and the lights are very dim which makes it slightly too dark, however this does not take away the enjoyment when eating these Asian dishes. If I am back in Helsinki I would not hesitate to go again!

I went to Wagocoro based on the other reviews here, and boy, I wasn't disappointed. They really do serve the best sushi I have ever eaten in Finland, and honestly, they compare very, very well to all the places I have visited on my trips to Asia as well. Those bites just melt in your mouth, so wonderful and balanced. I couldn't bring myself to even use wasabi, just wanting to focus on the sushi itself. The service is very friendly and personable, and the selection contains all the standards as well as some surprising bonuses you don't get at every sushi place. The only obvious downside to Wagocoro is that there is seating for about six people at the restaurant. While it gives the place a really unique feel, it is a pity more people can not enjoy the food at once. You can always take the sushi to go, of course. So, when people tell you this is the best sushi, you best believe them. I can say it isn't cheap, but it is worth it.

I like Nepalilainen Ravintola Mountain a lot. It looks nicely authentic and old fashioned with white tableclothes - no Finn would decorate a restaurant like that today. Nor would Finnish staff be so overwhelmingly polite. Good naan bread, nice food. I would have liked it a bit more spice, it felt it was a kind made for Finnish taste, milder. mild but tasty.

HOKU is a casual restaurant located in the Helsinki Kamppi district started by Ryan Shibuya. Ryan was born and raised in Hawaii and wanted to share some of the great foods from back home. Nothing fancy, just good food in a casual environment.
We came across this restaurant by checking the Trip Advisor reviews on Japanese restaurants in Helsinki for our annual getaway to the capital. Expecting a traditional Japanese restaurant, we first didn't quite know what to think of this place, since "Asian fusion food with Hawaiian flavors" was something we hadn't heard of before. We couldn't quite believe how something as simple as e.g. "Chicken with rice and salad" could be turned into something so creative and extraordinary. The cook was a true artist and the staff was extremely friendly. Due to an allergy-related mix-up in the kitchen, the restaurant offered to give us the dish in question free of charge. If you are ready to try something completely different and you are looking for the highest quality of ingredients, then this is the place to be! Have an open mind and prepare yourself for a true adventure for the senses!

Had dinner while staying at the scandic grand marina hotel. We had an excellent meal. The location is a residential neighbourhood, butt a short walking distance from the city centre. Would not label this restaurant as nepalese, it is a typical Indian with all the traditional dishes. The food was excellent, I recommend to take the nan bread. Not too spicy, they have a labeling of dishes with chillis, and two chillis was not too hot at all. Attentive service. Wine choice is ok and prices are low for Helsinki. So, if you like to drink wine with your meal, this is a better option than most Finnish restaurants where orices for wine are horrible.
