The food at Red Lantern is relatively tasty (albeit not memorable) and it's quite cheap. What damaged my experience were the owners' two young children who were allowed to run around playing, shrieking and shouting and generally ruining the ambience. This is not acceptable in a restaurant. The decor was also a little shabby.
We ordered a Thali on Sunday (veg option was only 79R). It was fantastic and probably enough for two people (although the chief did say that he gave us extra). They were all really friendly and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying the food. Would highly recommend this place if you fancy some traditional Indian food. Best we had in Gaborone.

I love the place normally you could have a few nice waiters, just one random day I came here with my friend and the waitress was so rude to us, she did not greet, we asked for drains and wifi password, we ended up finishing our food without any of them,, next time I came back I took it up with the manager who was really kind and seemed concerned. Otherwise that experience has not changed my love for simply Asia. The other waiters are really nice and welcoming.

Nothing fancy, but good food, good service and a good price. The menu is extensive, although the chef's specials were not available on that night. Nevertheless, choosing from the main menu, we had a delicious meal. Our favourite starter was tripe in gravy sauce, but the star of the meal was a magnificent crab - beautifully cooked and served.A lovely evening

China Resturant has been operational for 25 years, we have recently opened a resturant in CBD iTowers, South Wing, Botswana's tallest building
We have eaten on several occasions at the China Restaurant and once in one of the private rooms for a special occasion. We have enjoyed all the different dishes we have tried with the Chicken Curry being one of our favorites. Only downside is that they have a very limited selection of white wine- but they do allow you to bring your own with a corkage fee. They have a huge menu and you can sometimes get lost in it - but you will never run out of new dishes to try!

Was not thrilled with the dirty glass fish bowls but I could have moved tables. Staff were standard by Gabs standards. But the food was something else. While we ordered dishes we recognised the taste was alive. A wake up to the senses!

Spent my birthday dinner here and loved the ambience and the fact that the food is enough to share and tasty. The customer service could be better though for such a lovely place you need to give world class service

Definitely itâs the only restaurant in Gaborone where you get authentic South Indian dishes . Chutney is all about some decent tasting dishes and nothing more. The location and decor of the restaurant itself is very very average , nothing plush about it , The wait staff though is quite efficient. On a busy weekend night, the wait at the tables could get a little longer that one would enjoy .
