My daughter and I love Thai, so we were excited to see a new Thai place very close to home. We dined on a week night. Our dishes were good and fresh. Pad Thai was too sweet. Neither dish was spicy enough. Portions are tiny for the price. Was $25 for two dishes and one drink. With the over Thai choices close by, I'm not sure we will return.

This place makes a college cafeteria look Michelin rated. It is a no-nonsense kitchen. Period. You hear your food order hit the wok in back. Family owned, cash only, closed between 3:00 and 3:30....or close to that, so staff may dine, there is zero atmosphere. The food is sensational. It lasts me for 3 meals--minimum. I do Shrimp Lo Mein--Chinese spice. Go the large order; for the dollar cost it is well worth it. The egg rolls are pre-cut early in the day and stir=fried as ordered. They are plump and more Cantonese than Szechuan by my estimate.Did I say the Lo Mein rocks? Well it does. The Tsao's Chicken is great. Drinks are container; cans and such. Language is not fluid but it does not need to be. The storefront is on the west side of Boulevard next to a dry cleaners. It is just south of 15th street and across from a Chellinos; the old converted Braums. For Mom & Pop Chinese, there is simply no better value in Edmond.MSA

This restaurant serves great sushi rolls and various tasty noodle soup along with many other menu items. Their roast duck, shrimp wonton, and beef noodle soup are pure deliciousness. We also tried their fried rice once and thought that was just average. This is our favorite restaurant to get a bowl of noodle soup along with well-prepared sushi.

I ordered spring rolls, crab Rangoon, jasmine rice, and spicy chicken. The rolls and Rangoon were over cooked. The spicy chicken was also over cooked and covered in a powdered spice that was dumped on each piece. The chicken was separated from the batter. I had to throw out the chicken. A complete waste of money. Wonât come back. Yes, I am a foodie...not a snob. I love food.

After many years in Tulsa, I moved to Edmond the Spring of 2016 to care for family. I have been eating sushi since Nobu opened the first sushi restaurant in Tulsa (Fuji) over 30 years ago. I am also friends with Kenny Chan who has the two incredible Sushi Hana Restaurants in Jenks/Tulsa.In short, I was a Tulsa foodie. I was in crisis when I moved.I searched high and low for new Mom & Pops. Sushi is EVERYWHERE these days but in Edmond & OKC it is often an afterthought. A menu/entree restaurant with a token sushi section,, maybe a 6 top, where no one sits. The sushi is more of an appetizer. Not at the Sushi Bar.When you walk into the Sushi Bar Sushi is the star. The Edmond store is cavernous with entree dining primarily to the right and left upon entry....designed almost as if they are dining rooms but open air. The center has dining but the focal point is QUITE CLEARLY the Sushi Bar positioned in the back center of the restaurant, bar services to your right and the kitchen nestled behind. The Sushi area is a 12-15 top with the main sushi chefs centered and sous chefs to your left. The sous chefs do much of the prep finely dicing the baseline enhancers (scallions, cucumber, etc.) When fresh fish arrives it is prepped at the Sushi Bar which I love. Both sides have huge chalkboards with weekly specials. Spolier alert; the free Sushi Bar app alerts you to the specials so when Blue fin,Uni, Toro, and Eel Tempura (my favorite) arrive .you get the heads up because they move very, very quickly. The Sushi Bar has an intensely loyal and well known body of regulars. Millionaires and blue collar will be seated at the bar together swapping favorite rolls and watching ESPN on the large screen. Regulars are known by name and servers know their favorites. Many patrons have rolls which bear their names...yes Dan I am referring to you and the lovely Anna Marie. The Bar is a melting pot. Employees and owners are from Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Burma, Japan, Vietnam, Guatemala, Mexico, and the USA. My brother is Downs and they rig chopsticks for he and his friend and, Downs kids have problems swallowing, they make dishes which are user friendly (Sushi Tower--amazing presentation,,,,signature dish which collapses from a 6 inch tall tower the width of a large drinking glass into a type of sushi hash. The fish is delivered fresh multiple times during the week. Selection is excellent and escolar (mistakenly called white tuna is a mainstay--a very under appreciated fish).. The Orae King Salmon is a must when on the chalkboard. Victor & Jamison (2 of the 3 owners) excel at making rolls on the fly--tell them what you like or, in my case, what I do not, and set them free. Keep in mind, with the app, every six visits gets you a free rolls valued up to $15. I promise you, here a $15 roll is pretty significant.Knife skills and presentation are off the charts. Garnishes are edible and cucumbers sliced so thinly as to be opaque. Avocado is fresh and of the highest quality. The Ika Salad )Marinated squid) is outstanding and you initially will not believe it is squid. If you get the Gyoza, get the pan seared. Udon and Soba dishes are well done and a safe alternative for those who cannot sushi.Servers are excellent. You can tell people enjoy working here and turnover is low; an excellent sign. The Chefs truly know Sushi and slice the sashimi to remove veins and membranes unlike some sushi places. How did I find the Sushi Bar? 2 ways. I was eating at 3 Tequilas and was listening to 2 Thunder Girls talk about Sushi. I asked and they recommended Sushi Bar, Second, Google.I have eaten sushi across the United States for over 30 years. The Sushi Bar is, for my taste, the perfect blend of quality, comfort, friendliness and variety.Give it a try. Just leave a stool in the middle of the Sushi Bar empty for a former Tulsan to join you who has to take picture of his rolls to remember what is in them.MSA

I could have sworn I had reviewed Pho Bulous before, but apparently I am always to excited to get eating and always forget! It is delicious, Pho-Sure! Not only do they do a great job on dine-in, but you can get Pho and all of the fixings to do on a cold winter night as well! Service is always prompt and friendly, whether dine-in or carry-out. It appears they recently did some remodel inside. The food is FRESH and always good! I typically get the egg noodle soup rather than pho, as I do not care for the fish sauce in pho. But their pho is good. In fact - everything on the menu we have tried is fantastic. The chicken vermicelli is a great summer dish, while the soups really make a fall/winter night comforting.I highly suggest giving Pho Bulous a try!!!

My first visit to this restaurant was a huge success! Several family members have eaten here before, and wanted to go here again. The menu is so comprehensive that it was hard to make a choice, but I settled on Pad Mee, a lomein dish with beef. It comes with soup or salad - I had soup. The portions were large, and could have been enough for two meals. Service was just right. I will add this restaurant to our list of favorites in Edmond.

While visiting family in Edmond, my son in law recommended this place for our lunch. Sushi was extremely good and very well prepared with presentations that are excellent. I had some blue fin tuna sashimi, followed by tuna tatatki and their signature icon roll. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of all the menu items, and went out of her way to help us with our selections. Definitely a must go, if you really like fresh and good sushi.

I visited Mt. Everest Cuisines on a Tuesday evening around 7:00 and there were just a few occupied tables. After waiting in line by the register for a take-out customer to pay, I was quickly seated at a table near the back of the restaurant and asked about a drink order â I asked for a Taj Mahal 650ml (22 ounces), which I learned was the only Indian beer available at the time although Kingfisher is also on the menu. My beer was quickly brought out (see picture) and I was ready to order â I asked for the lentil soup and bhindi masala (an okra dish). Soon after out came some papadum, mint chutney, and another sweet sauce, and I enjoyed the thin, flaky pieces with the chutney. The lentil soup came out fairly quickly, too, and it was hearty and full of flavor. I finished the papadum, sipped my beer, and finished the lentil soup (see picture), and soon after the bhindi dish came out with some rice in a separate container (see picture). I put the rice on the large plate that Iâd been given and spread some of the okra over the top (see picture), and it was then I realized the portion was very large as there was still quite a bit left in the bowls. Although I didnât plan to eat the entire portion, the okra and peppers were delicious in the light oil sauce and I ended up eating everything. My waiter did a good job of keeping tabs on me â the man who originally seated me came by a couple of times, too â so I enjoyed this visit and especially the bhindi â one of the best Iâve had as the okra was all tender and moist, and certainly the largest portion Iâve ever been served. I look forward to another visit to try the many other dishes on the menu.
