East Palo Alto (abbreviated E.P.A.) is a city in San Mateo County, California, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of East Palo Alto was 28,155. It is situated on the San Francisco Peninsula, roughly halfway between the cities of San Francisco and San Jose. To the north and east is the San Francisco Bay, to the west is the city of Menlo Park, and to the south the city of Palo Alto. Despite being called "East" Palo Alto, this is a misnomer, as the city is precisely due north of Palo Alto. While often incorrectly assumed to be part of the city of Palo Alto, East Palo Alto has always been a separate entity since its founding as an unincorporated community. It is also in San Mateo County, while Palo Alto is in Santa Clara County. The two cities are separated only by San Francisquito Creek and, largely, the Bayshore Freeway (the vast majority of East Palo Alto is northeast of the freeway, while all of the residential part of Palo Alto is southwest of the freeway). The revitalization projects in 2000, and high income high-tech professionals moving into new developments, including employees from Google and Facebook, have begun to eliminate the cultural and economic differences between the two cities. East Palo Alto and Palo Alto share both telephone area codes and postal ZIP codes.

A fantastic blend of Southeast Asian ingredients, spice & herbs, making Black Pepper a delicious & fun place to visit. Black Pepper's heritage: a delightful diversity Malay, Thai, Indian and Chinese. Come, share this exciting Tropical Malaysian experience
Reviewing the menu, you might think it's just another Asian restaurant. For instance, the pad thai noodles are not like what you find in the typical Thai restaurant. These are much better and different without losing sight of what you want from that dish. The various black pepper dishes are great, especially the lamb chops.Staff is also very friendly. One slight negative is that this is an open format restaurant so it can get noisy in there.

This is a great vegan option - big menu, all the favorites. Our favorites were the crispy sesame chicken and the eggplant. Portions are moderately sized - no leftovers for our group! The dumplings and spring rolls were also very good. We ordered my mother (raised in Shanghai) the mock Prawns with Walnuts, and hadn't told her it was a vegetarian restaurant, and she enjoyed her meal! She did say the "prawns were bigger, not what I was expecting", but.....We went with a party of 5 on xmas eve for dinner, so will excuse that they sat us half an hour after our reservation or that the service was intermittent. The place was packed, lots of loud kids; would not go back with an elderly parent! Would definitely go back and give it a try on a quieter evening or for take out.

Our authentic Pakistani/North Indian Cuisine is healthful, mildly spiced, and made with love and integrity. Tender kababs and silken curries are our specialties. We also feature Pakistani street food and desi twists on burgers & wraps. We have a large sel
We love the food at Zareen's. We're not big fans of restaurants where you stand in line to order and they eventually bring you your food but we make an exception for Zareen's as the food is so good.It is extremely popular and sometimes the line is way out the door to the sidewalk. It's also sometimes hard to find a place to sit. Most of the seating is outside. Prices are reasonable and they are pretty efficient at getting the food out and delivered to your table.

Excellent! Arrive early! We arrived at 11:15 for lunch and there was a line. We were seated at 11:25. You are greeted at the entrance and an employee reviews the ramen choices. All choices were throughly explained by the greeter. Itâs a small restaurant with BIG Japanese flavors. Itâs excellent and we will return for more. Ramen Nagi was also voted as one of best restaurants.

Joined our daughter here on her lunxu break. Bery interesting place with oprions for full meel at $20 or jusr entre' at $17. You get a menue with photos, but order on an afixed iPad at the table. I had the chicken cutlet, which was moist with a nice ceunchy Pancoe crust.

Love this place for lunch or dinner. Good happy hour pricing, food quality is consistently high as is the service. Full bar, outdoor protected seating in addition to ample indoor tables which can accommodate large groups. Love the Roti here, chicken skewers, garlic noodles, pad thai, there really is nothing unacceptable on the menu in my experience. Bar pours a good cocktail and overall service is prompt and friendly. I rate it a 4.5 overall. This is a go to for business as well as personal meals for me. So if you are doing business nearby I recommend it for you and your clients.

Other reviews of this restaurant are so off base I do not know where to begin. The dumplings had way too much dough in them, came cold, and were very greasy. The hot and sour soup was disgusting--consisting mainly of water, chili oil and a ton of slimy tofu pieces that had the most revolting consistency I have ever experienced. The shrimp dumplings - which I usually love for their filmy character- were gelatinous, tasteless, and covered with way too much rice paper, a little like glue. We will most definitely not be back. Did I mention expensive as well?

Great venue, great location. We walked in with a reservation and got seats in this crowded restaurant right away. We ordered cocktails and appetizers followed by a full dinner meal for everyone. The cocktails were mediocre at best and they served martinis at room temperature. We asked to redo them chilled.Food was pretty good but I have had better before. I would give them a good rating but not spectacular; price is quite reasonable in fact a bit cheaper than I expected. Overall, pretty good.Thank you for the feedback! We are sorry to hear that nothing exceeded your expectations. It is our highest priority to serve the finest Burmese cuisine and always aim to make a memorable impression. We appreciate your comments and will share this with our team in the effort to keep our execution at the highest quality. Hopefully, you'll give us another chance in the near future. We'd love to have you back!

I've been to this restaurant many times over the years. Shaking beef is still a great dish, and as my title says there are moments when I really like it. I would say that it's not 100% consistent though. If someone is asking me for a recommendation for a business dinner in downtown PA on a weeknight, this is a good choice.
