Family owned Sri Lankan restaurant serving delicious Rice and Curry Buffet, Rotti, Kottu and other foods and snacks. Fresh made for every meal. Vegetarian and Vegan options available.
Place to eat with regular people! Buffet style rice and curry. Although vegetarian and vegan options are available be aware: some pieces of meat and/or fish may have dropped into the container with Your desired meal. The pastries are nicely spiced. Mainstays like chilli and curry leaves are everpresent!

Spent five nights, the most beautiful beach, excellent surfing conditions. Accommodation is rustic and airconditioning would be a plus. Service is warm and friendly. Marty the owner is a gem, full of good humour and interesting information. Anyone looking for a rustic surf vacation, this tics almost all the boxes. Plus they do make outstanding pizzas.

Zephyr Talalla is a Villa and Sri Lankan fusion Restaurant & Bar, located right on the beach in Talalla Bay.
We were blown away on arriving here by the warm welcome from the staff and the impressive setting. It's lovely to be right on the beach and with so few rooms you can really indulge in what it does best here. We found a lovely couple of sunbeds under the trees which felt like a real escape. The place is stunning and feels really special - particularly thanks to all the staff. They also were fantastically accommodating for my mum's gluten intolerance. In fact they were enormously helpful with any ask and arranged a driver to get us to the airport. We made the mistake of eating elsewhere a couple of times - but this is the best food on the beach by a very long way. I'd stick here for the food! The cocktails are equally delicious (try the Mai Tai!). We were very sad to leave and I miss waking up to the sound of the waves breaking. This is a really quiet end of the beach - perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset too! Thank you Zephyr team for sharing your paradise with us :)

Holiday in Sri Lanka We had a lovely time in Sri Lanka last month and visited many places around the country. Sea View Tree house Restaurant Dikwella is one of the best places that we can't forget and definitely recommends to someone who likes seafood, sea view and relaxing time together. Nice food, friendly service, for a reasonable price. Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you guys.

This restaurant is hands down the loveliest place to get sea food on the south coast. And I say that as someone who has eaten at a lot of places, on a lot of beaches. It's a true family business from the fishing, to the cooking. The owners speaks good English and is happy to recommend different fish. A full fish with salad cost less than Rs. 1,000. We also had prawns and Kottu. The portions of all were great. Ate here two nights on the row and both times it was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Mahi Mahi is the best seafood restaurant in Dikwella, Sri Lanka. It's the ideal place to experience fresh seafood for an affordable price. The restaurant is situated on a picturesque and clean sandy beach ideal for chilling, sunbathing and a dip in a sea.
Incredibly bad and slow service! We arrived and were greeted by no one. There was a group of five and us three and it took for ages for us to get the menu. After that it took for nearly an hour for us to get our meals! Waiter didnât seem to understand me who spoke English, so the Sinhalese people in my group had to translate for him. When we asked to order cocktails, the waiter said itâs not possible because he cannot make them - WHAT?! Food was basic and not great in any way. Sweet and sour chicken was just overly fried chicken with tons of pepper - not even any sauce. The location on the beach is wonderful and the restaurant is nice looking and they have great swings on the beach. Wouldnât recommend this place for anyone. Can get better food for the same price (or cheaper) elsewhere.

We make fresh seafood calamari, prownse, fish grilled and bbq.rice and curry, rotti, kottu, soup, drinks, wine, beer, cocktail any local food and drink we make fresh.
As per the title, it wasn't bad but not exceptional. It is toning down the spice by default in the expectation that any tourist doesn't like things even vaguely spicy. The "international Western" food like pasta was pretty poor, but this is similar to most Sri Lankan restaurants. The awful reggae cover compilation was annoying but the same as most other Sri Lankan restaurants. Hi sir .iremember you .firstly thank you very much your review. Last week you know Sri Lanka has a big festival. My all staff 1o days holiday. Last week's we are very busy. Because lot of restaurant closed. Last 2 week's my restaurant work only three person's. Please you can check my last review's. I'm all ways trying to give the good food my customer. I'm very sorry sir. Please come again my restaurant. Thank you very much.

My wife and daughters enjoyed the cookery lesson here recently (2,000 rupees each). After they had made several curry dishes under guidance (potato, pineapple, fish, tomato, sambol, dhal), the chef added some rice and poppadoms and invited us all to sit down and enjoy the results - yum. The product of their lesson became our (big) lunch.Thank you very much!
