Things to do in Dawei
The best place to get the sea view with deck chair. We have the nice Cocktails, Mocktails, Fresh Fruit Smoothies and Fresh Coffee. We have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with the fair price.
The best place to sit at the beach with deck chair. The only restaurant which written prices. Cocktails available and I recommend Pina Colada, Mojito and Home Brew Ginger Beer. Coffee is also amazing because of local coffee beans. The restaurant is very clean. Acoustic music is good and singer can sing Thai Songs and Myanmar songs very well. You should visit this place.
We are a Thai-Burmese Restaurant run by a local group of friends. We serve Hot Pot with seafood, meat, fresh vegetables and home made green dips. We too have single dishes and all kinds of salad. Esp. the raw prawn is loved among our customers. The Menu h
Great hotpot with a Myanmar twist. Choose from red meat, chicken or seafood for the hotpot. Salad for the hotpot comes with all the meat choices. The side salads are also good. The standout amongst much good food are the sashimi prawns (pictured). If you havent tried them before, try them here. Very fresh and finished with a beautiful green sauce.
This is a very casual restaurant on the beach, no walls, not very big, not a huge menu. But delicious. We had two lunches and two dinners here, walked down the beach from our hotel. Everything was fresh, tasty, portions big enough to share family style. Grilled fish dishes took a while but so good.
Hotel Dawei is not the perfect hotel, especially for a solo traveler or anyone on a budget, but it is definitely high quality with great service. The restaurant also meets this standard. During my stay (during Thingyan, an attempt to take a breather from the flying water), I ate here twice. The menu is huge. They offer a set menu (at lest during Thingyan, which was a special occasion), and the chef will cook up anything you need. One afternoon, I ordered the holiday special--essentially a set menu item of local dishes--and it was excellent and a good sample of local food (e.g. salty dry fish, various vegetable soups). The other time, I ordered the Thai green curry and a Thai noodle with tofu and veggies. The Thai noodles in particular, which I ordered for room service, was spectacular. Service and surprisingly fast and the food was excellent. If you find yourself here, I highly recommend. Dear greenboat88,Thank you for your recent stay with us. Moreover, thank you for your reviews. We are glad to know that our great service especially at our Pola Pola International restaurant. We will continue improving our products and services and look forward welcoming you back to Bangkok again in the near future. The Management
You find this small Thai restaurant diagonally across the New Light Hotel, maybe 80 meters up the road towards the direction of the big Dawei Hotel. The clean place is run by a friendly family. They speak English. The food is cheap and very good value, the vegetables and especially seafood are highly recommended. They are open for lunch and dinner and close at 9.30 pm. Watch the youth of Dawei passing by on motorbikes while enjoying your food.
Their new spot, previously in central Dawei, but the friendliness and quality of food hasn't changed. good lunch and dinner here, but sometimes gets very busy in the evenings with locals which is always a good sign. Excellent variety of whiskeys and other drinks all served with a smile..
Nice and very good restaurant for you
Great dinners, great coffee and great service - in the best setting in Dawei. The best option for dinner is the hotpot - amazing grilled meat and seafood served alongside hotpot vegetables and noodles. Consistently one of the best in town.
Asian European fusions, wines, cocktails, spirits, draught and bottle beers, Dawei river view with Maungmagan Mountains background.. Welcome to Wine Bar!!!
The best time to go sunset to Wine Bar and there are some interested name with cocktails and drinks. foods are yummy. The shrimp soup was awesome!
We would have stayed several days here! What a nice surprise to find this place after 2 hours of scooter from Dawei. A very charming café run by a young Burmese full of dreams and projects including "saving the planet"! Very environmentally conscious, The Village Natural Café is an oasis in this small fishing village where big smiles of children welcome you. Excellent tea leaf salad, delicious fruit juice, all that is missing is the bungalows whose manager has the project to build in the trees. Congratulations to him for his dynamism, do not hesitate to make detour to refresh yourself before going to Grandfather beach which is also very amazing!

This family run restaurant is a gem. We dined there twice and were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the friendly and attentive service. The chicken curry was our favorite, although the vermicelli were also very tasty. The place has a nice, modern design and is very clean. They donât serve beer, but are happy to buy it for you from a nearby shop. They told us they will change their name in the new year so watch out for that.
