Reviews on Asian food in Daegu, South Korea. Kwon Young-jin
Things to do in Daegu
My girlfriend and I found this place on TripAdvisor and decided to go (wanting food that was neither Korean nor Japanese). This place did not disappoint. Itâs a little far from the main train station, and the building itâs in was disgusting, but the restaurant is amazing and the food was wonderful. We had a couples set. Itâs 25,000 for salad, rice, naan, your choice of curry, and your choice of protein (we got tandoori chicken) and two drinks. The naan was so good we got an extra helping of it.Absolutely recommend this place

Personally, I thought this place was a little overrated compared to all the other restaurant options around. I'm sure I'm in the minority though because this place seems to be very popular. I will say that the location is convenient and the atmosphere had some nice touches.
What an authentic experience. Restaurant serves only one soup dish, with a couple of side pickled cabbage and kimchi. Very popular with locals, young and old. A unique experience for non-Koreans. Don't expect a menu though. There is only one soup dish but its tasty and a fixed price of 8000 won per person. Setting of the restaurant is like someone's house and expect to be eating sitting on the floor.

We wanted a more authentic dinner experience and this was perfect. It was unusual to sit in chairs at such a traditional restaurant. We shared the whole chicken stuffed with rice. The meal was good, simple yet tasty and filling. The chicken, ginseng broth made the soup. The food arrived quickly. The English menu provided instruction on how to use the dishes that were brought to the table, which you can read in one of the photos. The server did not speak English, but he was friendly. The value can't be beat.

Pretty well established place with lines constantly out the door...their specialty is the tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) and the flat mandoo (dumplings) each cost just 3000 won which is a good value...but don't expect much service...tteokbokki was nothing special but the flat mandoos were worth the wait...however, few demerits for the filthy dining area

We enjoyed a delicious dinner, but 20 minutes late due to the lack of parking in the area. Best to take a taxi or bus (no subway close). The food was very Indian, not a Korean version. The staff spoke English and Korean. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. There's no elevator and it's up a narrow stairway, but worth the climb.
A dining experience at Deira Restaurant will make you believe that exclusivity with a touch of simplicity is important in the creation of every delicious dish. Here is a priceless range of all Indian Pakistani vegetarian & non vegetarian dishes, serve with
I went there more time .i love deira food .rice chicken and beaf and naan is very delicious.thats why i recommended my all friends vist deira .i know you love it

Run, donât walk, to Hi Thai! Theyâre the #1 restaurant in Daegu and they serve the best Thai food Iâve ever had. Iâve been to Thailand so thatâs saying something! This place looks like a dive from the outside so we almost passed it up. Donât let the looks fool you. There arenât more than 7 tables so expect a wait. There are 3 or 4 stools outside to accommodate waiting guests. And there are only 2 men who work here. One guy does all the fabulous cooking and the other guy greets guests, buses the tables, does the dishes, and runs the food out. And hereâs the hilarious part - theyâre Korean (not Thai). LOL. They take 4 trips to Thailand each year and eat 7 dishes everyday while there then replicate them. Brilliant. The Tom Yum soup was out of this world. Donât leave without ordering that. The Pad Thai, Papaya Salad, and Drunken Noodles are also delicious. You wonât be disappointed. The only downside to this restaurant is they donât have Thai Iced Tea. Isnât that a staple at Thai restaurants? Thatâs almost like them not having rice. But anyway, go here. Also, their English is very good. They get a ton of international customers so they have lots of opportunities to practice.

Iâve eaten here several times and always leave satisfied. The curries all taste relatively similar and arenât that great in my opinion. However, the tandoori chicken, garlic naan, mango lassi, and chai are all absolutely delicious. The set menu gives you a good bang for you buck, because the portions are pretty large. The tandoori chicken is what keeps me coming back for more, it is some of the best Iâve ever had.
