What's sad, is this poor caliber of a restaurant, on a major street connecting the cities Rio Rancho to Albuquerque. Everything is short cuts. The egg drop soup is tasteless and gelatinous. Sad. The "spring roll" alternative to their egg rolls is fried, greasy and lacks any veggies. Sad. Shrimp Yaki Soba, 80% instant rice, puff noodles (is that even a noodle?..:), no veggies with warmed up pre-cooked shrimp. Sad. This restaurant strictly wants to turn a dime, rather than make the effort to provide good ingredients and a well prepared dining experience. This food is not even on par with the frozen chinese entrees available at your local grocer. As many of you Yelp faithful know, I love Asian food. This is not. Thanks for reading. Avram

First of all, we didnât even know about this place until friends mentioned it. All of us were very impressed with food quality and great presentation by our Japanese chef, a true magician with his knife skills, speed and onLy satisfied when his customers give him a big smile and ovation...incredible show of entertainment. Portions are very big with only quality ingredients. This will become a regular dinner spot for us!!

Valentine's Day wasn't possible so the next choice, one week hence. Tuesday early afternoon wasn't busy but this didn't detract from the service, prompt, professional & polite or the quality of the meal."Seafood Delight" #S-1, today's selection, tasty, amply portioned, appropriately priced and a delight to eat. An overall pleasant experience."Eat Healthy my Friend" (Dos-XX)

We really wanted to love this place, especially after reading reviews.....but. The interior ambience is really nice and the place is very clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable, cheaper than most Asian restaurants for comparable dishes. Our problem was that we didn't like the way the beef and chicken in our dishes were cooked (boiled?). The meat was kinda chewy and bland. We prefer meats to be fried in a wok, which cooks in the flavor. My chicken was very bland and chewy, which I don't care for. The appetizers were very good though. I can only rate the food average.

Nice place with good food. Big menu with many choices, including Make-your-own-pho from the menu with choice of meat(s) and type of noodles. Good Spring rolls too, light and crisp. Worth a stop for people who know Pho and those who want to try it for the first time.

Thai Vegan puts out tasty, healthy food with good blends of Thai flavors. Portions are sizeable, so you can fill up, even without the meat. Service is hit or miss. The fake meat options are actually substantial and tasty, especially the facke chicken nuggets, which go very well with the other flavors and ingredients.

We were searching for an alternative to New Mexico cuisine just for an evening out. The problem was ours I ordered fried rice it was greasy and awful. I ordered fried rice in a Sushi/Japanese restaurant The service was ok the server congenial when I did not eat the fried rice and informed the server of its overly greasy status he did not offer another dish, take the fried rice away or attempt to resolve. I chalked it up to inexperience. As it was Friday night they were busy and probably did not need my business which they wonât get again.

Not too many folks know about the existence of this great little place. It's a secret, shhhh, don't tell anyone because then, it may get too popular and busy! But it's just a great place to try excellent authentic Japanese food. We love to sit at the bar and have a conversation with the chefs while they prepare our food. All their sushi is delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. You are always served a bowl of miso soup while you wait for your food, very delicious. We have always gone as a couple, so we have only sat at the bar. Their servers are wonderful, very efficient and quite friendly. Ichiban is one of our favorite places to go to for good Japanese food and I'm happy to recommend it highly!
