They have another larger location further up Central Ave but I like this smaller place. Great menu offerings, good service, nice portions and prices as well. It seems that Thai has been less popular lately but this place is definitely one to check out.

Ginger Hop is a fun Asian-fusion restaurant located on E Hennepin Ave in Northeast Minneapolis, just blocks away from Downtown Minneapolis. Ginger Hop serves Asian cuisine with a gastropub twist. Enjoy delicious lunch, dinner and weekend brunch in Minneap
Appreciated a nice comfy booth far away from the entrance on this frigid cold night. Took several minutes before we were acknowledged by our server. Once we got her attention we found her to be friendly and helpful. We tried the carrot soup which was served with pepitas and was piping hot. Tasted delicious on this winter night. The spring roll with shrimp was pretty ordinary. The peanut sauce was not a typical peanut sauce, but pretty good. The curry entree recommended by server was excellant. The Korean rib entree was a generous portion with lots of flavor, but a tad fatty.it was served wth mashed sweet potatoes which were barely warm and broccoli that was a tad to al dente. The atmosphere was delightful. It was lively, but you could easily converse and hear your companions. The menu is huge with selections for most palates. The portions are generous and very reasonably priced. I will absolutely return to try other menu items. An enjoyable evening!

We ordered by phone and had to wait a long, long time to pick up. When we got home, realized they had not included the egg rolls we ordered. A couple of phone calls later and a few different employees, issue was sort of resolved, but very frustrating.

We started with veggie pakora and an assortment of momo, both of which were outstanding. The veggie momo were perhaps the best although the buffalo momo were very good. We followed with chicken sekuwa and chicken curry along with an outstanding goan shrimp curry. The naan from the Tandor clay oven was excellent (both the garlic and plain). We also tried the poori, a fried Indian flatbread that was new to us and also very good. The raita was fabulous. We brought our own wine, which was great, and their corkage fee was very modest ($10). The meal was excellent and of great value. What a great time!

Found this place after going to hardware store next door. Tucked in back of grocery store. Only a handful of tables and were very busy on Saturday afternoon. Tried spicy pork(wow...way too over the top spicy for me), dumplings and sushi roll. Next time would try short ribs, that seemed to be a popular choice of the diners sitting inside.

Love going here for the food and the convenience. The meals are always delicious, I've never had anything bad here. They are also very fast with our order normally (we call it in and leave and it's ready for pick up when we get there!). Never eaten in the restaurant but it appears to have a nice, quiet atmosphere. With take-out, there are always enough leftovers for several days, which is a bonus, especially for the prices which are very reasonable.

Friendliest folks I've encountered in the restaurant business in a long time, and tasty food..spring rolls moist and full of shrimp and veggies, drunken noodles with just the right amount of heat for 2 stars and redolent with sweet Thai Basil. Nice selection of wines and beers. Prices reasonable - spring rolls, noodles and two glasses of wine - $30 before tip. Recommended!

My apologies. The flavor profiles did not appeal. Not the wine (sweet) not the appetizers (spring rolls did not have the range of flavors that normally describe spring rolls) not the entrees. The broccoli was super greasy; the ribs were fatty and heavy were soaked with an odd brown gravy. Nothing tasted light or sweet /sour/ salty in a balanced way. The service was slow. it's hard to imagine why the place was filled with people? Maybe our taste preferences are different than the masses that frequent the place? We won't be back.
