The food here is so good. You should go when they do their $1 sides special. The kimchi fries are to die for and they have an adult beverage that tastes like skittles...so good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the philly cheesesteak egg rolls. YUM!

We used to make weekly trips here for family night before we moved to TN. Came back to town for 48 hours and made it a point to stop by for some sushi!!!

Sat at the bar to watch the Duke-Michigan basketball game, drink and snack. The calamari was tender, not rubbery. Wide variety of oysters (1/2 price during Sunday happy hour) were fresh. The hidden treasure is the buffalo chicken lettuce wraps with cilantro and Thai basil - truly bursting with flavor. The food and the drinks (lots of them) eased the pain of watching Duke lose.

Refined Thai Cuisine and an invigorating dining experience in the heart of downtown Charlotte, NC. Basil's infectious atmosphere centers around a prominent glass kitchen as the sound of heat to metal, blade to board and liquid to flame resonate throughout
In Charlotte uptown, surrounded by many god restaurants and hotels, there is this Basil Thai fusion restaurant. Location Easily accessible and parking is available aroundService Good service and overall good atmosphere Food Well, first thing quantity of dinner dish may differ. For example red curry was comparatively less quantity for dinner vs some other dish. Taste: I have had better red curry than this Basel. Also in comparison to other Basel, this red curry tastes different. Jasmin rice was not well cooked or may be little old or timed.I was not completely happy with the food. My friends ordered soup and they liked it. So it will depend on this restaurant what you will get. They do have nice bar as well. I have had food at other Basel and had better food.

This is a lively restaurant with very helpful and friendly staff. We started with good, but not great, hot and sour soup. It has some small pieces of chicken in it. But the Ma Po tofu was excellent. Just the right amount of spice and no sugar in the brown sauce as we requested. A nice option on the menu are the steamers - a good assortment of nicely steamed veggies. We had them substitute the tomato-based sauce for a white sauce. The sauce is served on the side and is very tasty. We also had the included brown rice. It's nice to find a restaurant with a healthy approach to serving food!

My son took me here, his favorite ramen joint. Iâve never had, Iâm a pho guy, but this was excellent! We had vegetable ramen, crispy tuna squares, eggplant and zucchini buns, and local beer on tap. Great atmosphere, food was great presentation and really tasty. Would recommend to everyone, good variety menu.

Visiting Charlotte for the 1st time, I found Lang Van ranked #1 on multiple lists. Seemed like a good reason to give it a try. A family-run restaurant welcomed all customers and provided excellent customer service. The menu is extensive, reasonably priced, and the server quite helpful with suggestions. We were pleased to find lots of vegetarian options. I canât remember all the we ordered, but everyone left full and happy.
