Oishi Japanese Cuisine offers delicious dining and takeout to West Simsbury, CT. Oishi Japanese Cuisine is a cornerstone in the West Simsbury community and has been recognized for its outstanding japanese cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. Our
This family-owned restaurant could easily up their prices by at 50% or more, and I doubt that anyone would complain. Not much atmosphere, but the food is excellent and plentiful. One is tempted to order an appetizer, but even if you don't, they keep bringing out small appetizer portions to keep you happy while your entree is being prepared. On this visit, we were treated to edamame, FOUR different small appetizers (for example, one spring roll per person) plus a complimentary small salad. The entrees, including a Fire Island Roll, a Yummy Roll, and Shrimp and Vegatable Tempura (an appetizer, but actually entree size), all hit the spot. Tasty and very satisfying. Before tip, the tab for three people came to all of $38. I've dropped more than twice that dining alone in some places.Service is very friendly though not speedy, but with all the pre-dinner noshies, it's not a problem. No liquor license, so BYOB.

Toshi is a favorite place for sushi, sashimi and the chef special omakase There is a good selection of appetizers, fresh seafood sushi and rolls. Our favorites include the sushi/ sashimi dinner, the Fuji and volcano rolls, the chirasi (assorted sashimi and rice), the Hamachi hand rolls, and the sushi chef's omakase selection. Although there are individual tables, we prefer sitting at the sushi bar where we can talk to the chef as we watch the food preparation.

Finally found the authentic Thai food in CT. The atmosphere is remarkable. The restaurant is facing the You'll smell a mouthwatering delicious food in the air when you walk in. The service was great! The staff was attentive. The food portions are large, yet with the reasonable price. They've served the flavorful complimentary veggies Tom Yum soup which to die for with a spring roll for every lunch order. We'd love to come again soon!

Having visited the sister restaurant in West Hartford for lunch and having enjoyed it, we decided to try this location for our girls night out. As far as the food is concerned, we were met with the same level of satisfaction as previously experienced â â the menu has just enough variety to make it interesting but not so big as to be confusing. The spring rolls appetizers were delicious as were the KOONG KA BOGS, marinated shrimp in pastry shell. Both appetizers were generous in amount of food especially for the low price. No one actually tried them however the small corn in coconut milk definitely looked interesting. We all chose the pad Thai with crispy chicken as entréesâ The food was extremely tasty, well seasoned, and plentiful. Doggie bags for all! Notable plusesâ extremely reasonable prices, friendly and efficient staff, complementary refreshing fruit to finish and the food was delicious Downsizesâ microscopic parking lot for weekend crowds with need to walk across a busy route to park across the street, no hard liquor ( if you are looking for a Scorpion bowl to complement your meal you are outta luck) with few wine selections Will return

This used to be my favorite Chinese place but it's really gone downhill over the last year. The food is now just so-so. They take quite a long time to prepare your order. They're pretty reasonably priced in comparison to their competitors but I have to say, I've started paying a little more to get better food.

First of all they did a very nice job renovating this space. It is a great place for lunch and quiet enough for conversation. The bento boxes are huge and the proportions are also large. The steak teriyaki was perfectly cooked as was the salmon (tender and moist). Great service. The main protein is accompanied by fried rice, miso soup, shu mai, California rolls, salad and salted vegetables. People around us were raving about the sushi, so this is a restaurant to which we will return.

We've been searching for a new sushi place after the owners of Murasaki in West Hartford retired. Fortunately, we found Liki. My wife and I have only been there once, but the service, the quality and presentation, and reasonable prices make this place stand out. We'll be back!

Fun dining experience to bring in the new year. The food was delicious! We had calamari, California roll, surf and turf roll, arugula salad, several different hibachi meals, Feng sashimi , chicken pad Thai and general tsos chicken. The mango margaritas were a hit!

My husband and I had lunch at Green Papaya yesterday (Sat, 15 Sept) and canât wait to return. The food was fresh, healthy and delicious, and the Belgian waiter/owner could not have been nicer. We have now found our favourite Thai restaurant in the Northwest corner and we hope to become regulars. I heartily recommend the summer rolls and veggie/tofu panang curry.
