Sesames has been operating in the Newcastle area for 20 years. This popular lakeside restaurant is owned & operated by the original owners. The menu is a tasty mix of authentic Thai favourites & fusion style signature dishes that continue to impress even
Quality of food was not quite the same as it has been on previous visits. Itâs gone from being one of the top Thai restaurants in Newcastle / Lake Macquarie to one that is more like simply the same as the others. Itâs just plain basic & average

We found ourselves in Morisset by chance and with most places closed or closing ended up in Yummy Thai with low expectations. We left an hour later completely satisfied and marvelling at how weâd struck lucky. This isnât gourmet food; itâs exactly what youâd expect from a high street Thai restaurant come take-away. But in that regard itâs one of the best weâve ever stumbled across. Tasty food, god sized portions, courteous staff, fast and efficient service. The angel prawns for entree were the biggest Iâve ever seen and done just right (some are too sweet with far too much desiccated coconut). My wife had satay tofu and we both agreed we could have left there and then comp lately satisfied. Then the seafood special arrived that was a feast of fish, mussels, scallops, squid, and prawns all well cooked in a Spivey but not over-powering chilli sauce. My need massaman was exactly as it should be with big chunks of soft, tender beef. And being BYO youâre not stung for cheap wine at 300% Mark-up. We wouldnât hesitate to go again.

Dine with us and you'll soon find Toronthai is one of Lake Macquarie's best kept secrets. If you're after a "night to remember" and something a little bit special, then you owe it to yourself to join us for lunch or dinner and combine the spectacular view
Easy the best place to eat in Toronto. Me and my husband love going here. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. Try the coconut rice itâs the best Iâve ever had!

Registered and Club on the waterfront of Lake Macquarie offering great food, entertainment and fully licenced bar. A great location for functions up to 250 people.
Lunched here on a weekday with a friend. Usual club service where you order from the register and they give you a buzzer. The lunch special - soup and a small main - was super cheap and tasty. There is a selection of traditional bistro and chinese food. I had the Honey Chicken and it was one of the best of I have ever had. Spacious dining area right on the lake - fantastic view in any weather.Hi Leanne,Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We look forward to you visiting the club again!Kind regardsJuston Baillie

We have recently moved to this area, and love Wangi. We stumbled across Tuesday night specials at the RSL, and have been every Tuesday for over 4 months now. Also brought other members of our family & friends on other days. It's a great place, and very good food at good prices.

My extended family like this place but our family are not a fan. Bit concerned with hygiene when waiting for meals. Meal when watery with little flavour.
We have been here a few times and it is your typical aussie chinese food but it is of good quality and good serving sizes. The service is good and food comes out really REALLY quick. The down side is the decor. The shop front hasn't been touched for decades and neither has the inside with kitchy chinese looking fitout. The tables also have those horrible sticky plastic place mats that get wiped down between customers. This place could be so much more if they put some money time and effort into presentation. Don't let that deter you. It is worth a visit.

We got takeaway, a few different dishes and some curry puffs. It was quick, fresh and delicious. We were just visiting the area, would definitely return.

My wife ordered an entree selection as a main & rated her meal highly. I ordered a prawn stir fry with home made tamarind sauce & found it very average.Whilst the vegetables & prawns were OK overall I would not call it a thai meal due to the lack of spices.Service was a bit casual. I will not be hurrying back although I will give it another try owing to the good reviews from other diners.
