Reviews on Asian food in Brighton, England, United Kingdom. Londoners have been traveing to Brighton for beach getaways ever since the railway arrived here in 1841. The pebbled beach, Brighton Pier's amusement arcade and the Royal Pavilion are the main sights, but you'll also find hundreds of pubs and clubs catering to an energetic crowd.

I am glad we stumbled across this wonderful gem. We were going to another restaurant right up the street but it was unexpectedly closed, so we walked on down towards the water and found this place. I am soooo glad we stopped in; the food, atmosphere and employees are delightful. We didn't want the lunch menu so ordered three things off the regular menu and all three were fantastic. Too bad we can't pack them up and take them home to Arizona with us.

The summer roll was good as fresh ingredients. The lemongrass chicken bun was also good. The rare beef pho was not great. The meat wasnât the best quality for soup and it had beef meat balls which was a bit odd.Mojito was well priced.Service was slow.

It's an Indian restaurant with a different style of cooking, everything is freshly prepared on a day to day to maintain a quality and taste.
Dinner on Friday night at Bayleaf in St James Street was a disappointing affair. Our waiter looked like heâd rather be somewhere else & got our poppadom order wrong - he brought us 2 instead of the 4 we ordered. Not a great start. The other waiters were quite smiley - just ours was having a bad day.Food arrived - chicken madras, vegetable dhansak, garlic naan & pilau rice.Very average. My vegetable dansak was Not full of flavour, nor hot & sour- more like a mildly spicy vegetable stew- but the only vegetables were potatoes & cauliflower.Disappointing really.Wonât rush back

This has been on my to do list for some time and Iâm glad Iâve finally been. The food was brilliant and sitting at the bar added to the ambience of the quirky setting. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming with every dish delicious. We particularly liked the Korean fried chicken and the cauliflower but it was all great. Iâm giving this five stars, but there was one minor issue. The front of house chap is pretty rude. Dismissive and a little aloof doesnât give the best first impression but this was a minor blot on an otherwise exemplary meal.

Goemen is an absolutely fantastic little Ramen Cafe. It felt very authentic, with a simple menu suggesting that they have confidence in the relatively narrow range of dishes on offer, & a cafe style dining experience. No frills, just great Japanese food. Choose your meat, or veggie or vegan alternative, and they come in a miso or stock based soup. Our 3 year old daughter LOVED it, & enjoyed slurping her way through a big bowl of noodles.

I texted my partner during the day & said lets eat at Pho tonight. What a great idea.Sadly my enthusiasm was short lived. Our shared starter the vegetable spring rolls weren't very nice - thick pastry not light & crispy. My main was the wok fried noodle with tofu & mushroom. They were tasteless. Our server asked how our food was & i asked if it was supposed to be a bland dish that needed to have extra chillis& chilli sauce added to. She said it was personal choice. Even with extra chillis there as no real flavour. I couldn't finish it.The waitress waived the price of our drinks from our bill to compensate. But it was a very disappointing meal.Dear, I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at Pho Brighton. It would be great if you can drop me an email regarding your recent visit so we can look into it further and make it right. Please pop over an email to [email protected] so we can resolve this. Spending an evening in Brighton we needed somewhere to eat. We chose Tropical Sushi largely because of the excellent reviews. We were made to feel very welcome. It took us a while to get our heads around the menu simply because weâre not used to sushi but we were excited by what we saw. We decided to go for the vegetarian gyozas, Wakame, Amazonas platter plus a couple of other dishes and were delighted by each of these tasty morsels of food. Also wonderful were the matcha, tropical and apple coolers we had to drink. We left feeling full and pleased to have tried something new. Iâm giving 4 rather than 5 stars because we felt that the decor and general ambience was somewhat lacking. I would have loved a more Japanese vibe, with tropical overtones. This is something that needs work. The toilet was clean and spacious. All in all, a great place to eat - delicious food!

We found this little gem as we were walking through the lanes, we were delighted with the attention to detail, the staff were brilliant, the food is like nothing I have had before, beautiful, my only slight tiny criticism is I felt a little rushed with the speed our food came out and felt I had to rush it and couldnât really saviour it. Maybe if you took out just a couple of tables it wouldnât feel so crowded. I would thoroughly recommend eating here if you want something a little different. Dear Elizabeth,Thank you so much for the review! We're sorry if you felt your dinner was a little rushed, the food is all cooked and sent to our guests as soon as each dish is ready! Some dishes are quite quick to cook and others take quite some time.As you know, our restaurant is tiny, we only have 9 tables so to remove a couple of tables would not be possible. We would have to increase the prices by 25% just to compensate and our aim is to provide the very best value we can.Thank you,RegardsManju's
