It was a good meal. Nice buffet selection. Hosts were friendly. Not many people there on a Friday night so atmosphere lacked a little. Made to feel very welcome.Would go again maybe

This is a fantastic restaurant with friendly, attentive staff and an array of wonderful dishes. For me, the best curry house in the local area and beyond, and I always judge other Asian cuisine against the quality I can expect every time I visit Penn Tandoori.

Booked a table for four, and I would definitely book as it was busy when we arrived, staff greeted us and took us to our table, lovely modern , warm and comfortable resturant. We tried this place again as the last couple of times was very poor. Saw the decent reviews on here and thought things had changed but how wrong was I.Food just average, nan bread still very oily and prices same as anywhere else that is much better quality. My son has become ill today (day after our visit) and just thought Iâd look at the âscores on the doorsâ - wish Iâd have done this before our visit!! They only have 1 score out of a possible 5. Seriously worry about things like this when one of us becomes ill. I will certainly never ever eat at this establishment again.Dear DoubblebeesWe are sorry to hear your son falling ill after visiting our establishment. At the curry lounge we are dedicated to provide good food and services,as we have for the past ten years.nintythree excellent and nineteen very good trip advisor reviews speak for itselfRegarding your son falling ill,we can assure you it wasnât the food.So much care is taken preparing it.food poisoning happens straight away not a day later as u have mentioned.Regarding the nan breads being oily,we donât use oil in our nans.only pure butter is used moderately.Regarding hygiene rating 1.Due to poor inspection we were given one star for missing paperwork nothing-else as it was our head chef night off.The council overided the one start rating as gave us three star.we were expecting a five star.Due to their scoring method they were unable to.In the next visit we are expecting a five star. With all due respect you have visited our establishment at two occasions.both occasions you have had bad experience which questions your sincerity,if itâs a genuine review. If you have any issues we would be more then happy to resolve the mater,as your reviews jeopardises our reputation which we have build with hard work and dedication for the pass ten years. We hope this will be the end off any misunderstanding you may had. Many thanks Curry lounge

Eating here was a delight, the main meal was tasty but the dessert was disappointing. The banana split was very unappealing, however, the Cantonese food was pretty tasty.

Gurkha 1816 showcases historic relation between Nepal, India and Britain which will take you back over 2 centuries of memory lane and amazes you with 'exquisite dining experience' which is rare at this era.
We expected better especially reading the ratings, the service you could not fault , I had the thali , I found it lacking. To summarize we would only return if were passing and really hungry. Sorry chaps you need to up your game !! We were on our to the five Rivers (Walsall) but we thought we would give you a try .

I am so happy that we chose India Gates for my mother in laws 70th Birthday Party last weekend. From the day we booked the party all the way through to the actual party day we have not been let down once. Indy Singh communicated everything to us thoroughly and answered all our questions. Nothing was too much trouble. He went the extra mile to help everything run smoothly. Venue is brilliant with excellent staff and services. The food was very tasty and our guests commented on how much they had enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend India Gates for anything.....whether it's just a meal or party. I'm looking forward to booking again for another party when the next special occasion arrives. Well done and thank you Indy and to all your staff.
