This is a neat little restaurant we found at walking distance from our hotel. We were looking for a decent meal, especially local non-veg cosine. The food was good though we realized that there is nothing special food about Aurangabad. The ambiance was good and the food was tasty and portions of decent size. Overall good value for money.
We tried the Tea House with mixed expectations - doubtful that a Chinese restaurant within a hotel of a fairly small city within India would work.We were wrong! Excellent service - with a smile - and food far beyond our expectations. The range of options was good with many dishes we recognised and we played it fairly safe in our choices. It arrived timely, very fresh and with nice flavours.Sadly, the restaurant was fairly quiet and therefore lacked the buzz one normally gets in a good Chinese restaurant. All they need is more customers!
Stayed in Lemon Tree hotel Aurangabad while visiting Ajanta and Ellora caves. The Republic of Noodles offers a very tasty change from the standard Indian fare. Lots of fun tastes to experiment with but all was made even nicer by the excellent service of our waiter Ankush Shinde.

Vrindavan Pure Veg is actually the only decent place to eat at when you are visiting Ellora Caves. It is just a 2-3 mins walk away from the Ellora Caves & parking is available on the roadside, so that's not an issue. They have a Restaurant serving a-la-carte & a Dining Hall serving only Veg Thali, which is the popular one. They claim it is a Gujarati Thali, but the preparations are not really Gujarati style, but more of a local style. The place is however neat & clean and the Thali is decent. The spread is not very large, but it is unlimited, freshly prepared & wholesome. They only have a Wash Basin area & the Toilet area is outside & not proper, as they claim it is under construction. Most people who visit Ellora Caves stop here for Lunch, so it is fairly crowded. However since it is an only Thali place, the service is quick & the rotation is fast, so even if you have to wait for a table, it is just for a few minutes. A good place to visit to have a quick Lunch when you go to see the Ellora Caves.

We stopped by for lunch, based ona recommendation. Spacious, well laid and clean, barring a few flies. The staff was ever smiling and ready with suggestions. The food was reasonably priced and tasty, the portions sufficient and filling. They have a specialised Cake Boutique and we tried Red Velvet and Belgian Chocolate pastries - Red Velvet was too dry, but tasty and Belgian Chocolate was too thick, but tasty. Overall a good experience.

The restaurant was open on holi festival as well. Food and seating arrangements are very good. We ordered kebab platter which comprises 5 types of assorted chicken kebabs. Biriyani was good and not very spicy. Butter chicken portion was very good.Loved the food

Tandoor Restaurant and Bar is most popular place in town to have food.
A small restaurant located on Bhanudas Sabhahgrah Railway Station Rd in the Rajnagar area. The design is more than modest. Service usual for restaurants of this kind. The restaurant has a strong smell of disinfection. However, this does not save the restaurant. We had to change the table because a cockroach was crawling on the table. All dishes are generally quite well cooked. If it were not for the cockroach, everything would not be so bad.

Based on the good reviews, and the fact that it was right next door to our hotel after a long day out and about, we popped into this restaurant not too sure of what to expect (also, the name Naivedya is only written in the local characters, but if you see a big sign saying 'Love thali' you're in the right place!)... The restaurant was full but we only had a short 5 minutes wait, and it was worth it! Being the only Westerners at the time of visit I believe we also had a bit of special attention, with the staff refilling our little bowls very often, and also recommending dishes, explaining what they were etc. to make sure we made the most of our experience. All food was delicious and fresh, spicy and filling, without being overwhelming. And excellent value too: if I remember correctly we paid 250 rupees each (less than 3£) for unlimited thali (including jalebi and a creamy dessert), water, a yogurty drink, an odd but pleasant leaf to chew after dinner and a very friendly service!

Rajasthani & Gujrati Thali
The service was impeccable and prompt, and my plate never empty. The food was delectable. Without a doubt one of the best meals I had in all of India and definitely a must visit if in Aurangabad.
