This is the restaurant at The Samode Haveli. A Muliticuisine restaurant.
Arriving in the dark at this physically beautiful property set off alarm bells. No lights on the entrance stairs and no one to guide us to the restaurant. We were a big group booked to sit outside but the night was freezing and some of us were already coming down with colds so we asked to be moved inside. I was not the leader of the group so I canât say how difficult this was but I sensed a problem. We were eventually seated at two tables at opposite ends of the brightly lit dining room. The service was painfully slow and inadequate. No one ever came back to ask if we would like a second drink. The food came all at once and there were two bowls of each item so the table was covered in food. Not at all appetising. We never got desert as it became so late and the night had proven so difficult and uncomfortable that we all just wanted to escape. Our group leader asked to speak to the manager. He/ she never appeared. I will not return or recommend this expensive restaurant. Dear Guest,Greetings from the Samode Haveli!!At the onset, I would like extend my sincere apologies for your unsatisfactory experience while dining with us. It is a cause of grave concern that you did not experience the signature hospitality that our guests have come to expect, and one that we take great pride in delivering, here at the Samode Haveli.I would like to humbly request you to write to me at [email protected] so that I may better understand your grievances and perhaps may also be able to offer some form of closure with regards to the incidents of that evening.I understand from your review that you may not have been staying with us and it would be very kind of you, if you could find the time to correspond with me to see what I may be able to do to ensure that such instances may not be repeated again.I have tasked our Food and Beverage Manager to conduct the necessary training to ensure that the same is never repeated again.Once again I sincerely apologise for the experience and let me assure you that the same has been taken up with the entire team.I would urge you to treat this incident in isolation and should your travels bring you back to Jaipur, please do contact me, and I will ensure that your next experience with us is a memorable one for all the right reasons. Please do let me know if there is anything I can do to make this right and looking forward to hearing from you.Best Regards,Ludayne MirandaAssistant Operations ManagerSamode Haveli

We were staying at the Trident and ate here twice. The first night we sat outside by the pool and had the Tasting Menu of Rajasthani cooking. The good was superb, the service attentive and very polite, and the ambience really lovely. There were traditional musicians playing, some mesmerising traditional dancing, and also various crafts on show. The only thing lacking was there were few eating out with us - most were inside in the brightly lit restaurant. I think this outside offering is just new, and hasn't made it into the hotel's normal publication city yet bit no doubt that will change. The price is R2200 for the meat menu and R1800 for the vegetarian. There was plenty of food - more than enough - and some lovely flavours, with excellent reads and a quite delicious desert of mixed Indian dishes served so attractively and far tastier than we expected. I would definitely recommend. The next evening we ate in the main restaurant. This has a la carte as well as a very good buffet with a wide range of dishes. Once again the staff could not be more pleasant and helpful, and they made the dining experience delightful. The one slightly less good part was the sweets. Some - especially the cream type deserts - looked great but were s bit of a let down. Conversely, some of the traditional ones don't look much but are really tasty. So, go Indian rather than for profiteroles etc!All in all, the restaurant offering at the Trident is very good indeed. Pricey, as expected in a 5 star hotel (and the wines ludicrously so, which is why we saw not a glass being drunk!) but you will have a very good evening here.

I eat loads of curry and this was not a good one.Had lamb kebab starter which was dry and lacklustre followed by fish curry and breads. The fish curry had a poor choice of fish for the dish was quite fatty tasting like the underbelly part of the fish and it lurked on the palate. Was up all night with terrible heartburn and only just kept it down, waking up on the verge of throwing up 4 times. NOT GREAT. I wonder if they will say it was not their usual chef in response?

Highly recommended for all veg lunch, snacks and mocktails! I'm a non veg but I loved it! Decor is also very nice and great AC. Just by amer fort, a great place to grab lunch before walking up and a nice cold drink after coming down. We had the pasta alfredo on the first day which was just delicious! We had to come back the second day from lunch again, I had a buckwheat dosa and my friend had the veg sandwich! Great food and the lady working there who I believe is also one of the owners is very sweet and also if you are unsure of the menu items she has all the pictures on her phone to help you pick.

Visited 1135 for dinner in August. We were surprised by the beauty of Amer Fort at night. The restaurant has good interiors and the staff is courteous. However, the airconditioning was not very effective. It was very hot and musty inside and we could not enjoy our meal. We even noticed a cat rushing outside from inside the kitchen. Eventually we decided to go to another place.
