Well preserved French type of country palace surrounded with beautiful French garden and English type park at the pond. Furniture and paintings make walk in the palace truly of époque and gives real feeling of it. Best time to visit Wilanów Jan the 3rd Sobieski summer residence is late spring and summer when it blooms and smells with multiple flowers covered with carpet of colors and shades. Visitors may have a rest at cafes and restaurants located next to this place.

The Royal Łazienki was King Stanisław August’s summer residence, in which a classicist architecture is harmoniously blended with its natural surroundings featuring fabulous gardens
This is the most popular site-seeing spot in Warsaw, a real must! Fantastically located on two levels of terrain and on the slope between them. It is actually an English garden with several-hundert years old trees, artificial lakes and cannals, picturesque “Palace on the water” (the residence of the last Polish king) and all the historical buildings beautifully composed into the terrain and park, delivering many spots of an unusual beauty (for example: a magnificient view from the bridge on the channel on the lake and a slope crowned with classical Belweder building). All this makes Łazienki a natural destination for all the first-time visitors to Warsaw and a perfect leasure place for the people living here. In my opinion, its perfect for a nice one-hour-stroll or if you have more time, just take a seat on one of the benches and imagine yourself the 18th century king playing cards or just having a walk. You may also consider entering Palace on the Water - a museum. If you are interested in the Polish history there is a lot to learn here if not just enjoy!

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw has two locations. The smaller space for public program & offices are on the ground floor of the residential building at ul. Panska 3, next to the InterContinental hotel (5 min. walk from the Central Railway Station, across from the Palace of Culture and Science). The multifunctional venue is used as auditorium, cinema or performance space, depending on the current program. The main, temporary exhibition space is called Museum by the Vistula and it is located at Wybrzeze Kosciuszkowskie 22, next to the Copernicus Science Centre and the University of Warsaw Library, in a pavillion designed by Austrian architect Adolf Krischanitz. The pavilion was previously used as a temporary abode of the Kunsthalle in Berlin. It was lent to the Museum free of charge by the Viennese Thyssen-Bornermisza Art Contemporary foundation. The Museum’s facade is covered with painting by artist Sławomir Pawszak. There is a bookshop & cafe in both locations.

The National Museum in Warsaw houses a world class collection of art and artifacts stretching from antiquity all the way up to the modern day. Visitors will find ancient relics from the Nubian region, which hold a unique permanent home of display unseen anywhere else in Europe, the most important and groundbreaking works from Polish artists of the 19th Century, and a groundbreaking and historically crucial display of artworks from the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as a comprehensive and beautiful collection of iconic Polish design, from furniture and posters, to fashion and industry. The National Museum in Warsaw is a must-see on any trip to the city.
Worth seeing mostly for its wonderful collection of Polish 19th century art. Other sections include medieval sacral art (with some impressive wooden altars from Polish churches), Renaissance art / Old Masters (a rather humble selection of European paintings and an interesting collection of pottery), Polish school of design (a small, but fascinating exhibition on Polish 20th century design) and 20th century art (sadly, it was closed when I visited). Newly reopened section on the ancient times had a huge line and was rather disappointing (a very basic selection of Egyptian, Greek and Roman art - plus mummies, of course). Nevertheless, the museum is certainly worth the entrance fee. If you want to see everything, be prepared to spend around 4 hours here.

The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is a place where we want to reflect on the world by means of art – a world which is understood both as our backyard, but also as the vast space beyond it. We believe that a better understanding of contemporaneity helps in a more conscious and empowered participation in the extremely complex global processes.

The largest collection of Cold War era neon signs in the world ! The Neon Muzeum is dedicated to the documentation and preservation of cold war era neon signs.
This is a fantastic little museum that offers a fascinating insight into the use of neon signs during the communist era in Eastern Europe. The museum do a great job at restoring and maintaining their collection, and everything is beautifully presented with detailed information in both Polish and English.
