The largest city on the Adriatic Coast, seaside delight Split has been under Roman, Venetian, Austrian, French, Italian and Yugoslav control. There is an abundance of restaurants and wine cellars. Sites such as Diocletian's Palace and Mausoleum, the Grgur Ninski Statue and the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius justify its position as a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. The city's coves offer several lovely beaches, including central Bacvice. Ferries link Split to Dalmatian summer resorts.

We are just a family mostly doing what we love. We design, draw, cut, sew, print, swim, bike and run every day and we hope for the best. Every item in shop is designed and slooowly handcrafted within three generations under one sunny Dalmatian roof. In last 20 years we've designed products and done projects for Estee Lauder, Sean John, Will Smith, Universal Records, Sony, T-Mobile, Pepsi, Sofitel, NBA, Nokia and many more. We've also won design contests and our work has been published in multiple books and magazines. Our mission is to create “ForGas” goods that we would want to buy for ourselves."

Jaksic Gallery in Split was opened in 2014, as a logical sequence to first gallery on Brac, which exists for 8 years. Gallery has a family character and it presents only the work of members of Jaksic family whose artistic tradition has existed for 113 years. A considerable number of stone sculptures, made by academic sculptor Lovre Jaksic, is exposed in the gallery. So are the paintings of dr.art Dina Jaksic, Lovre’s sister, and jewelry made of semiprecious stones combined with silver, which is designed and manufactured by their mother Ida Stipcic Jaksic, while the gallery itself is located in the business premises of the Sister of Charity Monastery, one of the greatest works of their father, a stonemason Drazen Jaksic. In the gallery you can also find numerous everyday items made of Brac stone, and stone designed furniture.
Cannot say enough great things about this gallery. The talent in jewelry, paintings and sculpture is incredible. Purchased a sculpture for our home in Tucson AZ and it is truly just perfect. Thank you Ivana!!! Highly recommended.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Split was opened in 1931. Museum’s valuable collection today holds over 5,200 works and spans a time period from the 14th century to the most recent art production. The collection reflects the specific tastes and cultural standards of states and societies that succeeded one after the other in this region: from the Venetian Republic, Austro-Hungarian Empire, kingdom and socialist Yugoslavia to the Republic of Croatia. The display of some 400 artworks on the 2,200 m2 of exhibition space presents style, theme and media diversity of the collection in all its richness, thus providing the possibility of a unique time travel and unrepeatable experience of the evolution of artistic creativity. Besides the collection, you can visit some of our exciting temporary exhibitions showing Croatian and international art.
