Passionate about fine modern and contemporary painting and sculpture, I searched throughout Florence for working artists and a gallery that could rightly shine amidst the Renaissance glories of Florence. The afternoon I spent with the Guarnieri brothers, Roberto and Rodolfo, will be forever etched among my life's great and genuine joys. They were most generous with their time, attention, spirit and interest in my own philosophy of art and life. Their work represents the essence of refined taste and whimsical perspective. The grand painting I now proudly hang in my home each day refreshes the insights, humility, cleverness and joy of my appreciation and respect for the Guarnieris and their artistry.

After finding the same manufactured ceramic pieces in every store in Italy years ago, I was thrilled to find the little, unique workshop of M. G. Design, close to the Duomo, Uffizi, and Santa Croce, with one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork! I made a point to go there again when I was able to visit Florence a second time a few years later, and recently purchased these gorgeous Tuscan landscape items online! I highly recommend her work. So beautiful and unique!

A workshop in the heart of Florence that continues the tradition of mosaics in hard stone, which dates from the Renaissance. An art gallery containing artefacts created entirely by the expert hands of the master craftsmen Renzo and Leonardo Scarpelli. The Scarpelli Bottega d'Arte is open to all visitors wanting look around the workbenches, where the mosaic artists patiently work at creating stone paintings.Catia, master craftsman Renzo's daughter, devotes herself to welcoming the customers and taking them on a guided tour of the laboratory so that they can discover the true value of the traditional "Florentine mosaic work".The art passion of Scarpelli's family became the job of its life. The Florentine mosaic work (commesso fiorentino or mosaico fiorentino) is a common heritage that should be preserved as a great treasure over the centuries.
If you’re touring Italy and looking to buy some art to remember your trip, this is an excellent place to consider. Sometimes it’s difficult to know whether or not you’re being ripped off or buying something of poor quality. Scarpelli is a reputable brand and high quality art.

I commissioned Gabriele to paint me. It is exquisite! He is a master of the human body. Also, he is a complete gentlemen. I will relish the painting for the rest of my life! The painting is so stunning and I just really am so grateful and thankful for the experience! Gabriele is extremely talented, and is one of the last true artisans in Florence for paintings. Il dipinto è così bello e speciale!

Cocktail bar inside an art gallery. Local and organic wines, signature and classic cocktails, fantastic hand-picked music selection, relaxing ambiance. Artwork for sale.
Highly recommended. Artwork & the easy listening background music (likes of Sinatra, Armstrong) makes it a great place for a late night drink. Bar tender Paulo was friendly, knowledgeable & made us great gin & tonics eg G Vine. Nice touch were the range of the free self service bar snacks.
