Villa Stenersen is considered one of the main works of Norwegian modernist architecture. Originally planned as a private home for finance broker and art lover Rolf M. Stenersen and his family, the villa is now a meeting place for the fields of architecture and design. Architect Villa Stenersen was designed in 1938 by one of Norway's most renowned architects, Arne Korsmo. Korsmo is known as an internationally oriented architect, and Villa Stenersen is a clear example of how the architect interpreted and applied the international architectural ideas of his time. Art collection As well as being a family home, the villa was home to numerous works from Rolf Stenersen's art collection. Today, contemporary artworks on loan from the private collection of Sten Stenersen jr. are displayed in the house. Guided tours Guided tours in Norwegian are held on the first Sunday of every month. Between May and September guided tours are available every Sunday at 1 pm and 2 pm. The entrance fee must be paid in cash at the door.

Khartoum is a kind of place that always feels like home. No matter how often or rarely I visit it, it’s aways welcoming, relaxed, free space to embrace you. A place to sit, to chat, to enjoy a good performance, a jam, a concert... a place to dance til the end! What I particularly like about Khartoum is that there’s no place for sexism, racism or any form for discrimination! My experience is that people respect your boundaries, and that feels really good! Oh, and they have those delicious cocktails you don’t find other places! Go get yourself one!(; ????

In 2020 it was 80 years since Norway was invaded in 1940, and 75 years since its liberation in 1945. The Rose Castle 2020 is an art installation and an educational project which aims to tell the story of the occupation of Norway and of the fundamental principles of democracy, the constitutional state and humanism which were invalidated by the occupation. We want to tell the story of the war without demonising or glorifying, by focusing our narrative on individuals and their choices. Roseslottet is open until the end of 2022.

Albin Upp Gallery & Art Café is located in the heart of the city at Briskebyveien 42, where they have created a unique atmosphere in a genuine farmer's house from the 19th century. Here you can enjoy contemporary Norwegian art and craftsmanship, and at the same time have a bite of food or a drink in a unique and friendly environment. The gallery's primary intention is to organise exhibitions for established Norwegian contemporary artists. Mostly paintings, but also occasionally textile and sculpture. In the small studio Albin Art, directly adjacent to the mother gallery, lesser known artists are presented.
