This store is a gem! We had a wonderful visit today. Beautiful art ranging from Canadian post impressionist to native to folk to abstract and beyond. There are even some fun and quirky steam punk pieces. It’s a joy to visit, eye candy all around, and lovely owners and staff. And we got to meet Mr. T the cat!

We have over 75 local and Canadian artists represented in our store. We carry pottery, woodcarving, etchings, paintings, jewelry, fibre art, handblown glass, sheepskin slippers, leather work, ironwork, children's games and toys and many other unique, one of a kind creations.
We visited and shopped this week in the lovely historical town of Perth. This collection at Riverguild of small momentos, cards, art, locally crafted sheepskin slippers hats, mitts, great selection of jewelry, mugs, and all manner of gift ideas is 99 percent made in Canada and 100 percent well chosen items. We a bought stunning felt handbag and wallet made by the artist "Anais" who happened to be working at the store that day. She was gracious and kind and took some extra time to chat with our 11 yr old about her creations! We also purchased a beautiful medical grade washable Ontario sheepskin for my senior father as nothing is as comforting or healing to rest on. So happy to finally be in a gift shop not drowned in things made in other countries then slapped with a Canada symbol to trap buyers. Please visit this store, support Canadian artists and artisans, you will love your purchases. Lovely store.

The real attraction for me is their wonderful homemade fudge. But we drove from Algonquin specifically to find unique gifts - for a new baby and for our house sitter. Mission accomplished! I found a lovely piece of local pottery and an adorable little pair of Native moccasins. Mr. Ferguson has a nice collection of Canadiana. Also love the scented candles. Don’t miss his shop in Maynooth And, for the road, just couldn’t resist that Chewy Praline fudge.

We are a public art gallery located in Haliburton Village in the landmark rail station. We present engaging exhibitions of art and craft, cultural events such as Haliburton Art and Craft Festival (fourth weekend in July annually) and Haliburton DrumFest (Labour Day Weekend annually). Our Gallery Shop showcases over 50 local artists and makers and is a gateway to the arts community. Ask us a question about local artists and we are likely to know the answer! Our friendly staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable about the Haliburton cultural scene. During the summer Rails End Gallery Artists volunteers demonstrate their technique on the Patio during the busy Farmers Market held every Tuesday. Informal family arts programming is offered outdoors in the summer on our patio. Find out more information at railsendgallery.com or FB/railsendgallery

If you're looking for an unusual gift or a unique addition to your home, ie a window (of which by he way we have had Tom make us 2....) you're at the right place. Tom's an artist , a visionary and just a great guy. Our 2 windows at our home are stunning and have made both rooms truly unique. Many times when we are up north we visit a) just to see Tom but b) to see what else is new. PLUS there is the added benefit or buying his honey, his jam and whatever else he's cooking up. Add to that , he employs locals and gives great kids a 2nd chance. If you need a wedding gift, an unusual present or something for yourself this is the place to start.I mean he has items starting at 20$ ash... Thanks Tom for sharing your talent . . Glass Eagle is truly a hidden gem in Minden and Haliburton
