Of additional interest Plaza Las Americas has an art gallery with paintings from several prominent Dominican artist. The building is climate controlled with clean bathrooms and always complimentary coffee and water.

This art shop is owned by a local non profit, Project Esperanza, which is dedicated to supporting the local Haitian Immigrant community. 100% of proceeds go to the organization which are then put back into the community through education and community development projects.
