Romance and adventure are in the air on this lush West Indian island in the Caribbean, depending on your coast. To the west, you'll find calm waters and good swimming. To the east, there are massive, competition-caliber waves. Wherever you stay, expect turquoise waters, fine soft sand beaches, catamaran cruises and delicious island fare.

A unique gallery in the beach home of the owner. Enjoy a cup of tea while looking and discussing art in her 1000 square foot patio, her gallery. The artist works from here as well so the process can be easily seen. Because of the natural materials involved in her work it is a true working studio with all the dimensions of such.Very conveniently located for cruise ships and visitors staying in hotels.

Beautiful, fully-functional tableware decorated with traditional designs.
Really friendly and helpful staff were very patient with us whilst we painstakingly selected which pieces we wanted to buy (we wanted all of them, but our luggage allowance wasn't up for the challenge!) We think the prices are totally worth it for the quality and originality of the pieces. Lovely surroundings; calm and tranquil away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches and city. A great places to have a lunch after shopping and exploring the amazing local artwork. If you want to take something away from Barbados Earthworks is definitely worth a visit.

A lovely little gallery in their Tides restaurant. Reasonably priced and a very good sample of the fine art available in the area.

Very knowledgeable curator, excellent gallery of very fine Bajan artists, including all of our favourites, especially Anne Dodson, Penny Rollitt and clayworks from the Earth and Fire Studios.

We stopped here after visiting Earthworks. Lovely little place for lunch, small menu, delicious food with fantastic sweeping views of the Barbados country side. A great addition when visiting Earthworks next door.

Best of Barbados Gift Shop has a wonderful selection of quality/unique gifts if you're looking to purchase something to take back to friends, family or yourself! We actually shopped at this location in Rockley and also the one at the cruise port. There are a variety of items to choose from and I love that they focus on supporting local artisans. Be sure to add one of their shops to your trip agenda!
