Inspired by Carahunge, the prehistoric Armenian Stonehenge, the second Carahunge café/restaurant is based in Dilijan , a picturesque town in the Tavush Province. Featuring Armenian & International cuisine, a bookstore/library rich with foreign language bo
Food was very tasty and well presented. The service was very good. The building seemed not very old and quite clean, also very clean bathrooms. One of the best places we ate in Armenia. The fish and chips was salmon for the fish. Would definitely eat there again.Thank You for visiting us. The Flying Ostrich is the new tavern in Dilijan. We offer food, drinks, music, and soon an upstairs lounge in a cozy environment. Our food is inspired by our creator, Jirair Avanian, who is famous for his work at Dolmama in Yerevan. We have traditional Ar
I was not expecting such a great place in Dilijan, it was a wonderful surprise. The place is in a beautifully restored barn that would be a cool place anywhere in the world. Attached to the outside is a covered porch overlooking a cobbled courtyard. I sat outside and had a nice English speaking waitress. I had the tavush karkot which is a traditional dish of bulgar wheat with pork. Itâs a simple, traditional dish but it was quite delicious. The staff here was all very helpful and engaging. I was only in town for 1 night but if I was here longer Iâd eat every meal here.

Excellent location! On the way to Goshavank, surrounded with cold mountain river and a hill with dense forrest. It has got everything to accomodate short term family stay. Tastfully furnished cottage rooms oversee surroundings from above. Clean and shiny permises. Kids get a pool, they will also have alot of fun in volleyball field. The food!... The food being served is the best you can get in the area. Most of it is organic, "home grown" or from local farmers. Don't forget to ask for home brew "Kompot". The staff is very friendly and forthcoming. The cook has some good secret recepies :) I never had a deer meat prepared the way he did. It was delisious. In other words this is the place where one must go if you are in the area. permises permises.

Gourmet Restaurant âCasanovaâ is located on the territory of Boutique-Hotel Casanova Inn. Timbered interior, decorated with the paintings of Armenian and Georgian artists in addition to the fireplace and various art pieces makes this place cozy and comfor
This was the best food we ate anywhere on our trip in the Caucasus. Itâs cooked from scratch from fresh ingredients from the local area. Be it trout from the mountain rivers, pork from forest pigs or potatoes from the garden. The chef Gerra cooks every meal with love, and thatâs why it all tastes delicious. I canât recommend this restaurant strongly enough. Dear Gustav,Sorry for very late response, every time I`ve sat to write the responses something happened, something that forced me to postpone responding. Anyway⦠Thank you very much for the perfect review, great comments and compliments, highest scores and recommendations. I appreciate that a lot. Please forward my Best regards to your friend. You know, few days after your visit, I was invited to participate at seminar organized by one of Banks. All Hotels` and Restaurants` managers and owners were invited. There was a Lady, who was the manager of the Hotel "Tun Armeni" and during one of the seminar`s topics about guests` appreciation she told to everyone that they had guests from Sweden who were very thankful of their stay at one of Dilijan`s Hotels and of the time they`ve spent at the Hotel`s restaurant. She was telling us about this guys and how they were telling her about the enjoyable time that they had at this Hotel. And at the end I understood that she was telling about you, Gustav and your friend and the restaurant that you`ve told her about was Gourmet Restaurant Casanova. Gustav, thank you, I was so touched by this Lady`s story and I appreciated every word that you`ve said to her about our restaurant, about our Hotel and about me. Thank you guys, I was so delighted and happy to acknowledge that my everyday efforts are not vain and that they are appreciated. Dear Gustav, once again I would like to express my profound gratefulness for your review and I wish you all the Best. Hopefully, you will find a time to visit us again in the future and I certainly would be happy to cook some delicacies for you and your friends. Good luck... Kindest Regards,Gera Aghajanyan.Gourmet Restaurant Casanova, Dilijan, Armenia.

TAVA means a cast iron skillet. We make the most delicious food using only local ingredients and cast iron in wood fired brick oven.
The exterior and interior of this restaurant are magestic. There are lots of old-style furniture and items here which create unfirgettable impression. The first floor is called Losh and offers dishes on thin, tiny bread. The second floor offers every dish cooked in big and small tavas - pots.Service and quality of food are beyond any expectations.Location is central, just at the riverside.

We're a small family business. We use only local products, cook very fresh and tasty food. All the food comes out of our wood fired brick oven. Our main dishes are cooked in clay pots which is Kchuch in Armenian. We also do brick oven gourmet pizzas and gr
We came here for a mid-afternoon snack and had our first taste of lahmajun. For us uninitiated ones, we thought it was pretty good. (Learned afterwards that lahmajuns are supposed to be bigger and more meat.) We didn't care - we thought the lahmajuns here at Kchuch were very good. We also had great coffee in the clay pots. Beautiful seating area on a patio.
