After completing Recoleta Cemetery this is a very handy & welcome respite from a hot Buenos Aires day.The food was very good quality & the coffee the best so far in town! Ricardo our waiter was fun, friendly & efficient & very patient with " gringos with little espanol " The cafe/restaurant has been in business for 161 years so they obviously are doing a lot right. We chose the Spanish omelette which was more than adequate. Can recommend.

Ricos postres.

I don't know whether this place has recently been sold to another owner, whether we went in at a bad time, ordered poorly, or other reviewers have simply not been to the same great establishments we have in Argentina; but our experience of La Bianca is far from good, and way-off the Lonely Planet's rave review. My partner and I went in at 8.30pm, and were the only people in the place, bar 1 other table. This wouldn't normally be an issue except here there were 8 wait-staff, 5 of which were just sitting in the dinning area, 2 on their phones, another just aimlessly tearing up paper - hardly professional, and we felt like we were intruding on their personal time. Despite other people's mentions of "good value" etc, we were surprised at how expensive the menu was, compared with other, similar restaurants in the city. Having eaten our bodyweight in steak over the past week, my partner and I decided to eat something alternative - I ordered pasta, my partner a salad. Firstly, the menu divides pasta into price for pasta, and additional price for sauce (I've never seen this in my life), and only after ordering did I realise this, meaning I paid more for simple (not very tasty nor satisfying) cheese pasta than I had in many other restaurants for a 300g steak and papas fritas. The salad was equally as poor; for what the lonely planet calls generous portions, my partner was served little more than a cupful of cold rice, with tomato and onion mixed in. Neither generous, nor a salad, in our opinion. When we enquired, we discovered all the salads are rice based, and all that same small size. The house red was another disaster, tasting more like sour grape juice than the fine wines we were used to tasting throughout the rest of the province and country. A real shame of a meal, which cost us the better half of our hotel room price. We ended up getting fries and beers from a takeaway place to satisfy us on the way home.

A place of atmosphere of home, which recalls the house of our grandmothers. Good treatment, spacious, good food, good times.

So rarely do i leave bad reviews, but I thought Coco's was awful. The food was lacklustre, lacking flavour, and if I'd cooked it at home I'd have been disappointed. Meat was tough and tasteless, vegetables had been cooked to death, and the food lacked any excitement or imagination. It's not cheap either. Can't think of much good to say, except we had a good bottle of wine. Service and staff were good.

very sorry to say, but the food has not been good. First the fish starter plate should take a preparation time of 1,5 hours. Too long. We took the other one that took more than 45 min to prepare. The cold cuts have been sliced super thick. Price for this quality overpriced.Main course beef filet with overcooked canned vegetables. horrible. Meat was ok. Service freindly but not speaking english one word and not very attentative. Very nice location!

We had dinner and some 50% of our dishes were very good, while the others were just acceptable. Overall, we liked it nonetheless, but their problem seems to be consistency... The decor is nice and the staff friendly and helpful

One of only a few decent restaurants in the city. Lacks ambiance, but offers a good menu, with a nice wine list. Service is great, but my steak was overdone and tough.

I now havevisited Miresoles3 times in the last month and I will visit again in the future. The atmosphere is great: well decorated in comforting colors and accessories, with soft chairs & couches, with lots of sun & light. The food is uneven in execution: pancakes excellent one day, then not cooked fully through the next; the donuts frest one night, stale another time; granola made w/ cornflakes, not toasted oats, burnt toast. The pastries are excelkent, the scrambled eggs fluffy & hot, the o.j. fresh-squeezed. Ive not had lunch or dinner there, just morning meals & snacks but it is worth the effort to try those, too. Charming place, in general, with indoor, outdoor seating, plus a banquet room for special occasions.
