Things to do in Malargue

Restaurant legendary of Malargüe. The best homemade pasta in the department. Daily menu. Argentine meats. Empanadas. Milanesas. Pizzas. Wines. Homemade regional desserts. Great prices
We ordered 4 plates but after receiving 2 (1 of 2 was wrong), we waited 15 more min and realized the waitress forgot the 2 last plates. Services was very bad, have to repeat everything twice even the glasses to drink. Food not really good and very greasy.Avoid the place, we regret not to have chosen another one!

Tripadvisor users appear to have been a little down on this place lately. I am not sure why. The service the night I went was friendly and fast, the atmosphere was nice (you don't hear the noise from ruta 40 at all), and the lighting good. The food arrived swiftly, and unless one is hoping for two kilos of meat, I don't see an issue with the amount of carne they served. The salad bar--included in the price--is fresh and delicious. So why not five stars? Because the meat was good but not outstanding. Would I go back? Absolutely.

We really enjoyed the double meat burger, fries and desert. Even I had the chance to talk with personnel about Las Leñas during my food waiting, I found them really friendly and helpful. Food and options are average, I guess that during the season the story is different than in summer.

Great rustic log interior. Open for lunch and dinner (siesta in between). We had lunch there on a weekday; early (12:30) it was about half full. Typical Argentine steakhouse, with other entrees including roasted goat (Chivo). My wife and I split a rib eye (lomo) with fries and a mixed salad. More than enough for both of us! A good choice in Malargue.

Nice place, normal food, not very attentive waiters. I asked my lomo to be red and got it well done.We also had coffee there two times, that was very good, as well as there cheesecake.

We went expecting to have a typical Argentinean "asado" (barbecue). The place was nice and clean, the ambient appropriate and severs friendly and kind, the food was just average, nothing great. Don't get me wrong, it was no bad, but not what we expected and should be from argentine meat and sausages, I certainly will not get back. If you are looking for an outstanding "asado" better try other options in town.
