After trying other restaurants on the riverfront, we returned to this restaurant because we felt it offered the freshest food, the best bread and crackers and a thoroughly professional service. My husband and I had dinner and, though it was crowded, we were served in reasonable time. The grilled chicken breast was tender and not overcooked, the noodles with seafood sauce were fresh and tasty. We returned for lunch with a 7-month-old baby and found truly attentive service (heating the baby food, washing the baby dish and cup). We asked for a more complete seafood sauce, including octopus, and the quality was as good as the first time. Very good breaded veal cutlet. Excellent vegetable wok. Definitely the place to eat on the riverfront. As to ambience, forget it. Basic decoration: just a mirror, dark wood tables and chairs, a strip of black fake leather over the tables instead of tablecloths. But then, you should choose this place for its food. The prices were almost the same as charged in other places. Not cheap: allow around 150 Argentine pesos for a two-course meal per person.

this is one of the nices hotels in town. we stayed in a suite overlooking the river and pool. friends had a cabana and regular room. beds firm but pillows are hard. central is a 20 minute walk as are the casino and carnaival area. nice pool are and indoor spa. indooor spa pool is warm. hot tub could be warmer. massages, free boats and bikes are avaailbe too. this is more expensive than other places but give a discount for paying in us dollars. breakfast is fairly typical of argenicia but extensive. dinner food is fine too

The place has a really nice river's view. We tried the 'picada' which was really good. The prices are appropriate, not expensive at all and all the food looks really great. The only thing is that the waiters are a bit overwhelmed so service might be a bit slow.

The menu offers quite a wide range of grilled meats and fish. The portions are generous and our food was nicely cooked. We asked for the steak to be juicy and it didn't come over-cooked. The list of wines is limited and they don't do wine by the glass, but the house wine in half bottles is ok and not expensive. The service is friendly and the atmosphere lively. It's well worth walking away from the (often over-crowded?) Costanera to find this gem.

First of all, the name is DACAL. The service was very good, considering we were a family of four adults and a 7-month-old baby. This means there were a lot of extra requests, which were met with a smile and efficiently. The food is another story. The fish pasties (empanadas) were a bit greasy, the meat pasties were good, with a lot of filling. The grilled kidneys were just barely edible, with a strong smell of urine. The breaded fried fish was tasty. All in all, just average. It is a big place, with many tables and an annex under a tent. We did not find the place to have any kind of atmosphere. We only went once and would not return. Prices were slightly higher than in nearby riverfront restaurants.
