Yorkshire (/ˈjɔːrkʃər, -ʃɪər/; abbreviated Yorks), formally known as the County of York, is a historic county of Northern England and the largest in the United Kingdom. Due to its great size in comparison to other English counties, functions have been undertaken over time by its subdivisions, which have also been subject to periodic reform. Throughout these changes, Yorkshire has continued to be recognised as a geographical territory and cultural region. The name is familiar and well understood across the United Kingdom and is in common use in the media and the military, and also features in the titles of current areas of civil administration such as North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire.

Great stadium, good seats with a great view, all staff really friendly as were the Boro supporters. Standard football stadium food, cheaper than London stadiums

Experience the thrills and excitement of first class greyhound racing at Yorkshire's premier racetrack. Situated just 5 minutes drive from Sheffield's vibrant city centre, Owlerton Stadium is the perfect venue for partygoers, couples, families and companies looking for a fun and affordable night out with a difference.
Having attended the stadium once or twice now I can honestly say that this has got to be by far one of the best nights out one can have at such a reasonable price. I well recommend the Panorama restaurant which serves fantastic beautiful food m, giving you an amazing view of the action outside. The bar is very reasonably priced too, and the half price offer at the moment makes it all the more better. You are waited on hand and foot by waiters/waitresses, and bets taken all evening by the very friendly and knowledgeable Tote runners. I must say that each and everyone of your staff are truly a credit. I shall no doubt be returning many more times !

Located in a leafy suburb of Sheffield 10 to the West of the city centre and some 800 feet above sea level lies Sandygate Road, officially the oldest football ground in the World and home of Hallam FC since 1860, thus making them the second oldest football club in the World to Sheffield FC!
Visited Hallam Fc this weekend, they have now opened the clubhouse up as a little community pub/bar. Kids we able to run around in the grounds of the stadium very secure, lovely pint and nice weather. What more could you possibly want from a local.

The Great Yorkshire Show features the best of British farming and is England’s premier agricultural show. Held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate it gives first-hand experience of agriculture and rural life through demonstrations and exhibitions as well as a ‘not to be missed’ insight into the very latest in the agricultural industry. Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS), it is held each July and attracts around 130,000 visitors over the three days. Dates for the 2020 event are Tuesday 14 – Thursday 16 July which will be the 162nd show.
You can’t miss this annual show in July. It’s part of the history of Harrogate. Something to see for everyone. Love walking around all the stables looking at the animals.

It's not the greatest Stadium in the World but it's the home to the oldest team!! Any hardcore football fan needs to visit this club how many people can say they have been to the oldest club around?? The pub next door is great (Wagon & Horses) Good pint and friendly atmosphere. Well worth a short visit at the very least.

Haven't skated for years but went here with my Mrs and young son (5) . Absolutely loved it, just enough people on the ice per session and there was a steward skating around keeping order and giving skating tips. My little boy was given a Penguin to skate with which he loved even though he couldn't stand up ????. Going here has resorted in me buying my own skates I enjoyed it that much, thankyou ice Sheffield, brilliant few hours ????????

The Arena was built to host the World Student Games & was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen on 30th May 1991. The Arena can accommodate audiences from a theatre style 3,500 up to a 13,600 capacity making it the regions biggest capacity indoor Arena. In the summer of 2013 the venue underwent a multi-million pound investment and now has a new roof, doors, seats, lighting, catering & toilet facilities.
My partner took me here to see Disney on ice, this is now my favourite arena. Close toilets all around, great seat position and great show. Staff were helpful and polite
