Whether you are looking for sun-drenched beaches or outdoor activities in beautiful countryside, New Jersey has plenty to offer. Here you can go rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking or fishing, or simply admire the stunning waterfalls. There is a huge range of hiking trails to choose from as well as historic sites to visit. In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing near Blue Mountain Lakes, and birdwatchers might be lucky enough to catch sight of bald eagles. Trenton Thunder

One of the most enjoyable times I have during the summer months is taking my grandkids to a baseball game. Major League Baseball can be very expense, no matter what the team is you are going to see. I have been to Phillie games and Yankee games I Bring the bunch, and their friends sometimes and their fathers. It is definitely more than a dinner out on a Friday night for my wife and I. Trenton Thunder baseball is a Double A team of the NY Yankees . Being a fan of them helps to enjoy going . Taking a son or daughter ,my case grandkids, when they are the age they can play organized youth baseball, or a related field, i.e photographer for High School Yearbook , brings a certain excitement to each youngster. There is usually some type of promotion where kids get something when they come in, i.e.A players Bobblehead, Kids eat free coupon, or special time for player autographs. Anyway it is a lot cheaper than NY or Philadelphia game. Between innings there are youth contests on the field. Never seen a uncooperative, angry employee. All have been perfect especially talking to the younger ones there. Fireworks sometimes after the game. You looking for a relaxing, forget the problems type of night ? A Trenton Thunder game at Armor Hummer Field is the ticket.

First Energy Park is the home park for the Lakewood Blue Claws. Not only are they very invested in their local communities, they are also great supporters of thelocal Scouting programs, allowing special nights for the kids to attend a game and have an overnight sleepover on the field with a big screen movie to finish off their special night. This year, I attended as part of the APO fraternity reunion, getting to meet many of the menwho were my husband's peers during his college days before meeting me. Everyone was very accommodating to the wide age range that needed accommodation and our buffet was tasty, plentiful and hot. The Park itself has a wide variety of food choices from typical baseball park food choices to oriental, italian, and kosher concessions to name a few Prices are reasonable; the restrooms plentiful and clean; and they alow for tailgating pre-games. There is adequate handicapped parking and reasonable parking fees. Specialty theme nights offer someting for all ages, with my favorite being an Irish night with the bagpipers. Firework nights are always impressive. Staff, security and first-aid resources are visible and very friendly. Crowd control has never been an issue in my experience. If you are travelling to their locale and they have a local game, I would heartily endorse them as a recreational destination for your family.

MetLife Stadium

Reviewed By wallacejain - New Delhi, India

A football game in the United States is a passion bordering on the religious fanaticism and a favourite pass time for multitudes. A visit to the METLIFE Stadium while a game is on has to be experienced to be believed. The stadium ground is so huge that if you genuinely want to watch the game, you might as well concentrate on the giant screens put on all sides. However, I get the impression that most of the people come here just to be a part of it and have a great time as well. The game itself is hard to understand with 3-5 second of activity and then another 30-45 seconds of break. It’s like watching a snail walk, were it not for the vibrant environment at the stadium. An one hour game generally takes about three hours to finish. The stadium itself is so huge that if you are coming here, be prepared to walk up to twenty minutes going in and coming out. It is a great show non-the-less, and not to be missed if you can get the tickets, that is.
