Pro’s: - prompt pick up our hotel. - clean and safe vehicle, and well driven. Con’s: - Tour guide clearly had no idea of the strict rules in place at some of the venues e.g. that we could take photos outside of Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum. Told off by soldiers/guards multiple times. This shows a lack of understanding the rules and etiquette for someone who should be experienced. - Excuses were made when challenged. - Kept wandering off to get cash out. - Grasp of English limited and difficult to understand. Hard to engage and answer questions. - Trip seemed to finish very early (3hours), not really a half day tour.

I was very fortunate in visiting on a sunny, cloudless day, if a little hazy. I found the bridge somewhat disappointing, not being as long as I had anticipated and full of tourists intent on blocking the entire path taking pictures of their partners. The gardens however were very impressive and I was fortunate in catching the dancing show. It is a further 750,000 dong to go on to Ba Na Hills, It certainly is a long cable car ride and the site on the top of the mountain is impressive, probably reflecting the high cost of the ticket. This seemed a Disneyland copy but without the crowds, thankfully due to the virus. It seemed full of restaurants which I did not check to see were open. There were amusements and the shortage of visitors gave me the opportunity to ride a dodgem car and go on the roller coaster which goes down the mountain and, somewhat surprisingly, has a handbrake. I enjoyed the day but it is expensive for what is there but if I had chosen a wet day, I would have been very disappointed since the outdoor features and views are the main attraction.

We booked a tour with Henry on a short notice, and he was able to accommodate our schedule and pick us ap at our hotel in Da Nang. He also optimises the tour based on the starting point, so you don't lose too much time. The tour itself was GREAT! Henry is very knowledgeable, and you can really learn a lot about Vietnam's history, culture and religion on this tour. He also speaks English perfectly, which I find quite important for this kind of a tour. Rest assured Henry will show you everything there is to see at these two locations, and I can definitely recommend his services to anyone who visits Hoi An or Da Nang!
