We were staying Latrobe for the night and happened to notice two large toy soldiers standing at the entrance of the building. So we as a family went in - woooow talk about a surprise the interior is packed from roof to floor with every type of gift and gadget you could want for. With areas themed - Dr Who, Spooky, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter etc etc - a fantastic 60 minutes of total well spent time - the cakes and coffee were also very good. Have a look - its worthwhile!!!!!!!

WELCOME TO ANTIQUE EMPORIUM - IMPORTERS, RETAILERS, WHOLESALERS, ANTIQUE & BOOK DEALERS. You will find 1600 square meters of goods on 4 levels. The owner, John Cole, Personally travels for up to 3 months of the year going door to door & village to village in remote parts of the world. From factories to isolated villages; We find TREASURES, restore them and TRANSPORT them DIRECTLY to Tasmania.
The Antique Emporium is one of my favourite places to visit when looking for something in particular, and also just to browse. I seem to be incapable of leaving empty handed! To fully appreciate the sheer scope of this incredible market-style shop, you need to spend at least an hour wandering through all the rooms, down the little aisles, and exploring every nook and cranny - this is where you find the gold. John & his staff are astonishingly knowledgeable about what items they have in store, and they can find you just about anything. As other reviewers have noted, there is a large variety in price points & the quality of items on offer, but this is part of the charm. Antique sideboard from the 1800's? Check! A book on Tasmanian rail history? Check! A copy of a Harry Potter wand? Check! Costume jewellery? Check! It's really a one stop shop for a carefully curated range of pretty much anything under the sun.

The Drill Hall Emporium is an antiques store with genuine and unique antiques based in New Norfolk, Tasmania. We stock a large selection of French and English country and decorator furniture and objects. We send antiques throughout Australia to collectors, home decorators and interior designers.
Ok, full transparency, the Drill Hall is in my neighbourhood. But that doesn't stop me being continually delighted by its beautiful curation, interesting collection and straight up style. I drop in often to have a browse and a poke around. No visitor escapes a visit and most leave with extra luggage. New Norfolk has more than its share of antique shops, but the Drill Hall Emporium is head and shoulders above the rest. It continues to delight and surprise, and show how great retail experiences will always trump online. And don't miss their hand poured candles. They will be a wafting reminder of the best day of your life.

We specialise in a wide range of quality antiques, vintage jewellery, collector's books, crystal, original artworks, ceramics, glassware, cutlery, and Tasmanian souvenirs. Established in 1982, our love for the interesting and beautiful has been passed down through generations. We are located on the picturesque Great Eastern Drive of Tasmania.
Loved this little shop, something for everyone. Lots of antiques, books, souvenirs and even fishing rods. Not cheap but well presented in a nice shop, staff friendly and helpful. Well worth a stop bit tricky if you’re towing a caravan.

I’m a Tasmanian but travel to New Norfolk every couple of years just to look at what’s available at this HUGE antique store. It holds so much stock you could stay for an hour going from room to room. It’s the best and varied shop that I’ve ever visited. It has not only antiques but new items too. If you’re over 50 you’ll find and reminisce about the reminders of our childhood. if you’re near New Norfolk you’ll love this shop and very likely find a treasure within your budget.
