With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

We are an antique shop but we're also a museum where you can touch stuff! We have items ranging from antique Indian, New Mexican and Mexican, 19th century photography, vintage art through antique and old pawn jewelry, to folk art. As a friend said, we "recycle history."

A "museum" built out of concrete and 55,000 bottles that houses 20,000 handcarved miniatures.
What an amazing museum.... we happened to stop in and have a look on our way home from Sandia Crest Cafe... and it turned out to be the highlight of the day. What an amazing labour of love by Ross over 40 years. Fascinating reflection of entertainment in the turn of the century.. miniature models in such minute detail that there is so much to look at, you don't know what to look at first! The one man band is a beautiful reflection of exquisite craftsmanship that will be lost if not for places like this. Wonderfully preserved by Ross' widow, well worth a stop - we spent nearly an hour wandering through a time capsule of epic proportions.

We stop at Malone's every single time we visit Gallup. The selection is not as huge as some of the other trading posts. But every item is certified and and truly Native made art quality. Bill and his lovely family are always there and a delight to work with. They are honest and reliable. We have had extremely valuable Navajo carpets shipped to us on at delayed time so we will be home after our vacations. We also bought a carpet with a wear flaw that Bill insisted we have repaired...the carpet was absolutely perfect when it arrived after the repair.

I've traveled to some pretty amazing places and walked some very cool markets around the world. Now I"m wondering why haven't I visited this market right in my own town? It would have saved a ton in airfare! If you are into ethnic arts, cool tapestries, beads, exotic pieces, Indonesian-style furniture, pillow covers - wow! Here you'll find it all, and absolutely unique. This ain't no Pier One or World Market my friend. This is the real thing. These vendors have traveled the world and have brought back the best of what they found. And, the prices are fair if not downright a bargain, especially on textiles and beads. Don't miss this gem in Santa Fe!
