The Brand-N-Iron Restaurant and Bar is from another era. Down home, country cookin' - mostly steak, ribs, and potatoes - with nothing fancy, but huge portions and real down home friendliness. All meals come with a small salad bar, a cup of the soup-of-the-day, and ice cream for dessert. Definitely a place for jeans, boots, and a plaid flannel shirt. Your napkin will be paper and your plates and cutlery straight from the "five-and-dime."But absolutely guaranteed you won't leave hungry or ignored. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Expect the owner to strike up a conversation and the wait staff to treat you "real fine." Prices are moderate, but it's quite a bargain given the portions.Note: there's a parking lot in back with an entrance through the bar, or you can park on the street and enter through the dining room. They have live music on some nights (call ahead).
I always enjoy going to restraunts that you can expect to be the same quality no matter where you are. This Subway hit the mark friendly and fast service as well. Never disappointed it seems. I will be stopping in on my next visit to Yreka, CA.
Stop here on your way out of town. This is a wonderful combo coffee shop/bookstore with relaxing areas to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch people. I love these old style hangouts and the coffee is great. After wandering through the historic district, a perfect place to unwind before leaving town.

Broasted chicken with two sides was pretty good, but the menu warns you it could take up to 16 minutes to prepare. I had salad and mashed potatoes with mine. I liked their iced tea. My husband had fish and chips. Our server was new. She'd only been there three days, but she did a good job of serving, with just a few slip-ups. She was very pleasant and did what she could to make us happy.

Visited again while visiting family in the Montague area. Picked up a keg on order and was respectfully instructed on hookup to the CO2 container and chill box. Ended up staying to try out the product. Real good. And a great crab sandwich on special. And of course friendly helpful service. A great combination.

We were passing through and needed lunch. Found Linda's on TripAdvisor,,, there it was sitting next to JC Penny's... Went in and spent a long time reading the extensive menu but settled on the Chicken Asparagus soup, which our server/hostess told us was their most popular soup. Plentiful and delicious -- what more can we say? Highly recommended.

Gerald and Heidi Overstreet wanted to have a restaurant that was both unique and exceptionally happy. Through great food and friendly service we want to be the best steakhouse in the great state of Jefferson
Let me start out by saying that the four of us mentioned below have gone to this restaurant many times and, for the most part, the food and service have been okay. But this last Saturday night was a totally different story and I felt compelled to share it.Another couple a well as my husband and myself went out to celebrate one of their birthdays this last Saturday. There was a band playing in the corner of the bar area (old music) and the restaurant itself wasn't very busy so didn't have too many people. We were seated, given menus, then waited and waited and waited for our waitress. While waiting, my friend's husband flagged down someone working at the restaurant to open our bottle of wine that we had brought so it could breathe. So, after waiting quite a while, the waitress finally took our order. One friend ordered rare tri-tip and I ordered medium rare tri-tip and our husbands ordered something else. As I'm unable to eat salads at this point in time and the soup of the day was potato (too filling considering that a baked potato was part of my dinner) I asked the waitress if I could have extra vegetables with my dinner. She assured me that that was no problem. Well, we waited and waited and waited (again) for our dinner. When it finally arrived, my friend's rare tri-tip wasn't even close to being rare and she sent it back. My tri-tip that was supposed to be medium rare had no red whatsoever in the meat and was more like well done. On top of that, there were no extra vegetables on my plate. I was too angry to say anything but should have. Our bill was approximately $100 for lousy service and food that wasn't even close to being as we ordered it. Doubt we'll go back to this restaurant for a while. Recommend that the owners take a good long look at the service they're providing as well as fire the chef that they have and invest in a good chef that knows how to cook exactly the food as it is ordered.

Nature's Kitchen is a combination restaurant, holistic and natural store, which throws in local jewelry for good measure. The food is always fresh and good. Friday's are usually chile relleno that do not disappoint.

We had dinner here and enjoyed the service and cleanliness of the cafe. The food was very good (the sweet potato fries were the best I've tasted -- and they even had a little honey sauce to go with them). My only note is that we were not told that substituting a side would cost more. However, it was worth the extra money.

One thing that you quickly learn about the Black Bear Diner in Yreka is that we take our food and service very seriously. We use the very best ingredients, cook them to perfection, and have them sent to your table by the friendliest group of men and women
Stopped here while travelling down I5 interstate for some early dinner with the family. Good menu selection, they serve breakfast, lunch or dinner all day. Friendly staff. Large portions. Stop in and grab a bite; but bring a hearty appetite!
