Love the inviting colorful atmosphere of this diner! I love the layout of the place- just looks like a fun place to bring a family. Our burgers and onion rings were good, for a good price. The frozen custard was hard. I imagine someone is getting strong back there scooping it. The only suggestion I have for the staff is to clean the floors moreâseemed a bit sticky in places.

Much more than a cozy little restaurant, Archibald's at Gardner Village in West Jordan, Utah is a place rich in atmosphere and local history. The main ingredient of our restaurant began over 130 years ago, when Archibald Gardner -- truly a "mover and shak
I met 7 of my High School friends from over 40 years ago for and early dinner. Best to make reservations as they are usually very busy. The restaurant decor is nice and the setting is lovely in a restored area with lots of boutiques and specialty shops. I had grilled Salmon and asked for veggies instead of what came with the dinner. The staff was very accommodating and my food was good. It can be a bit noisy in there. We're glad that we could accommodate your high school reunion, though 8 is the smallest group that we take for reservations. We will usually do anything you desire food-wise, provided we have the ability, so don't ever be afraid to make special requests! (I often get the salmon with double veggies too, though I have them blacken mine!) Thanks very much for taking the time to post, Jeff G Archibald's Restaurant GM

Are you looking for some great home-cooked food? Then, youâve come to the right place. The Black Bear Diner in West Jordan knows what it takes to make patrons happy â friendly service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Youâll find all of that ri
Me and my husband went this weekend for an after Valentine's Day lunch date. We had been to the Ogden location the week before and were so completely impressed by the service (seriously, go to that one!) and food we decided to try a location closer to home. They are doing construction around the outside, so getting into the location was a bit of a drippy mess. Parking is...odd right now. Our server came to take our drink orders. She rushed right through to the order and didn't even stay to hear my husband's drink order, she just repeated what I ordered *while he was talking* and left before he could tell her she'd got it wrong. When she came back with the two drinks, he explained to her that he didn't order that, and she'd rushed off before he could tell her. He had to tell her this twice because she wasn't listening the first time. She said she'd get him another drink and pushed the duplicate drink to over to me. "You can have this so I don't have to throw it away". She didn't apologize or ask if I wanted it, and I had a feeling that if I finished my first drink I'd have to drink the second watered down drink. She seemed irritated by the whole two minutes she'd had to spend waiting on us. Right after this the boy behind us said "Mom, this isn't what I ordered" and I watched as our hurried waitress brought out a bunch of plates for a different table, only to take them all back to the kitchen. I told my husband I didn't want to stay...I just felt like we weren't going to get good service at all at this point. When she finally came back we asked for bill so we could pay for the two drinks. She said "Really??" and then told us not to worry about it and left. We ended up driving across town to eat at another restaurant. A simple apology or taking just a minute to actually listen to your customers would have gone a long way.

After our granddaughter's play, we took her to Iggy's. None of us had ever been here but they had heard it was good. Because of construction, it was a little challenging to get to but it worked out fine. Our server Corrado was wonderful -- very friendly, attentive, and efficient. He checked back with us just the right number of times and was always cheerful. My wife and I are doing Weight Watchers and we found several good options including the Flat Iron Steak (my FAVORITE cut) with lots of broccoli, and the Monterey Chicken Salad -- and we shared both. The others shared a Supreme Pizza and the youngest had a Grilled Cheese sandwich. (The bread was really thick and the crust hard so the little guy didn't eat much of it -- but he said he liked what he ate.)I'm not a sports fan but it wasn't obnoxious or overbearing -- pretty low key but my son-in-law (who is a rabid b-ball fan) enjoyed keeping track of the Blazers game. All in all we had a good evening. Thanks!

First, let me tell you that Liz is the bomb! She was friendly, professional, informative and on-point with service. This was our first visit, as we are taking a leisurely vacation, and using quirky ideas for stops, like recommendations from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Looking at the pictures on Yelp, I knew we were going to have a hard time narrowing down our choices. We arrived before the lunch crowd, so had plenty of time. We ended up with the fish and chips, a cup of homemade beans and ham soup, and the wings. First, the soup was great! Clearly homemade and with a yummy broth. The haddock filet was huge! Love the unique coleslaw- simple and fresh. My husband loved it enough to order some to go! They were great accommodating my husbands special request for sauce on the side for the wings. Good size serving and cooked perfectly. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be the tarter sauce - it was rather bland. Otherwise a perfect meal!

Went for breakfast with family and friends the other day. Service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. The pancakes were fantastic. Portions were large as well. I was disappointed in their potatoes, however. I had the sliced and they were burnt and dry. Don't know why they don't offer regular hash browns on their menu. Other than that, the food was great.

My fellow foodies I know at some point you come across a great restaurant and then at some point that place hit a curve. Today is such a day. This is a real time review as I just finished my breakfast. First thing I noticed was it took a little longer than normal to get recognized and asked for a drinks order. Eventually, we did get drinks and our order in. My wife ordered hash browns âcrispyâ which has never been an issue anywhere else, but today the server apologized because they didnât have crispy ones today (eh, really?). Then the hash browns my wife did get looked undercooked because they were mushy. I had the south of the border which is a mound of hash browns with a red Colorado style verde over it with cheese. I also ordered a side of bacon. Folks, I really like this place but the bacon was tepid, my toast cold, and if it wasnât for the verde then my entire meal would have been a deal breaker because it was tepid at best. The high point would be the scone which was piping hot, the ONLY thing piping hot. Bottom line is this place is and should be much better than this review, maybe everyone was having an off day this visit.

This is my wife's favorite steakhouse. The rolls are great and they have all you can eat roasted peanuts, so you should never leave hungry. They will sing a birthday song and give you a treat too (on your birthday). I LOVE their ribeye or Dallas Fillet with mushrooms. If you like your steak cooked well done, make sure you ask to butterfly the fillet to ensure it gets cooked all the way through. They have call ahead seating and they will text your cell phone when they are ready to seat you. I've tried the shrimp, ribs, salads and they are pretty good (4 star good). The baked sweet potato with butter cinnamon is awesome but their baked potatoes are always great too. Free softdrink refills. Always friendly. I might have 1 out of every 10 visits where there is a problem with the food, but they always try to make it right.

Blue Cheese Wedge was fresh lettuce with bacon and excellent. Smoked chopped was OK, but too saucy. Smoked turkey and chicken were good. Beans and slaw were good. Service was good.

Creative food with great flavor, dinner at Tiburon is a real treat. The chef adds a few surprise details to your meal and even the salad is unforgettable. If there still offer the cheese and jalapeño grits when you visit, donât miss those. The knowledgeable staff understands dining and wonât rush you. Visit when you want to enjoy a relaxing meal with a bottle of wine, take your time and enjoy an experience unlike any other in the Salt Lake area. The patio is a bonus and at the right time of year you can walk through the organic garden outback to get a preview of the nightly specials.
