Food was good, but service was horrible, starting with the cashier (slow as molasses). Our food took almost a half hour. My wife was waiting at the counter, as the notification system was supposedly telling us the food was ready. The folks behind the counter were in a "discussion", and one told the other one just to "make what was easiest first". The tables were never cleaned the entire time we were there.

Middle of the lunch rush time period annnd we were the only table in the restaurant, that should have been a sign. We stayed anyways.Waitress seemed brand new and totally untrained. She was nice and polite however clueless on the menu and inadvertently lied (hopefully).Meals seemed to be frozen bag meals that were microwaved (shrimp/pasta) and one of my coworkers was still very cool.I was charged $3 extra for my meal for a salad bar that I did not order, was told it was a combo meal. I grabbed a menu on the way out to double-check, nope, my meal was supposed to be $8.99 not 11.99 as I was charged. No problem, that was the tip money I was going to leave anyway.Bottom line, skip it. This location will be out of business very shortly.

The double butter burger imo has the best meat-cheese-bun ratio. Delicious! Not a fan of their other sandwiches or dinner menu fare though. Great frozen treats my favorite being a chocolate malt. The service has always been friendly and do a great job.

Take a step back into a simpler time full of rock n' roll, poodle skirts, and leather jackets when you come to the Route 66 Diner. Our authentic 50's diner aesthetic transports you back in time to offer you a dining experience that is unlike any other. Ro
We were looking for a comfort meal after picking up our Basic Training Graduate and this place hit the spot. Not overly busy and our waitress was very helpful. Since our soldier was in her dress uniform, the waitress got her a clean towel to use to protect her uniform so it didn't get messed up when eating. GREAT club sandwich and fries.
I've been here a few times, my husband and I ordered turkey sand. and beef sand. They were well prepared, the staff was friendly and efficient, the place was clean and the waiting time wasn't bad. I recommend this place and its food.

The food is OK. Keep in mind this is a chain restaurant. An American style, reasonably priced, restaurant-style, with a unique gift shop. You'll have to experiment, as some dishes on the menu could be hit-or-miss for you, especially compared to your own homemade. All in all, it is worth the try.
We went on Sunday hoping to get fried chicken but instead chose chicken and dumplings. It was different than we had ever had but it was really good. Plenty of chicken and in a tasty gravy with the dumplings. We had sides of greens and fried okra. It was a really good meal. We enjoyed our desert with buttermilk pie and oatmeal pie. The service was good but we probably went too close to closing time because they got busy. It is a family run place so they had a lot to take care of. We will go back next time to try the fried chicken

Friendly service from Chris and he was a gem! Didn't care much for the food though or the rolls. Family liked the steak but the catfish was awful! The sweet potato didn't taste very good at all and that's odd, right? It was a great place to bring a couple of soldiers though. I'd go again but order something different- perhaps a salad :)

Decided to try for dinner with family. All jad burgers of different styles, all were very good. Unfortunately they were out of frog legs when we went so we did not get to try.

We called over from our hotel which was literally less than a block away. We were told our sandwich and fries would take 15 minutes it. It arrived 45 minutes later. Even though I have to admit the sandwich was delicious, the french fries were very good, it took too long! If you can't deliver in the time that you specify, then maybe you should call your customer back and see if they still want the item that they ordered. Or at least have the courtesy to waive the delivery fee of $2 for their trouble. That's just our opinion, take it for what it's worth.Hi Kent,We are sincerely sorry that your food order took longer than anticipated. Our meals are made fresh to order and sometimes do take longer than expected if we are busy. We are a small restaurant and insist on our food being delivered hot and fresh for every single guest. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed our delcious sandwich and french fries. We hope you'll give us another chance next time you'rein the area.Thank you for your patronage.Sincerely,The Management & Staff of Z Bar & Grill
