Neighborhood bar and grill with homemade specialties.
We had been here several times last summer when visiting friends and had been very happy, especially for the Friday Fishfry. This time we had a completely different experience. When we arrive with our grandson who's attending college in Waukesha, the place was less than 1/2 full. We were seated right away on the deck and handed menus. Our server said she'd be back for our drink order so we talked and reviewed the menu. It took a while for her to get back, but she got our drink orders and we said we'd be ready to order dinner when she came back. Again it took some time for drinks (iced tea & beer) to come back, and we ordered. When our food was delivered she immediately asked if we wanted more beer. The burger was just OK (buns were dried out), the Mac&Cheese burger was just a burger with a bunch of mac and cheese dumped on it, and my Cuban Sandwich was not at all what I expected. I've had Cuban's all over and love them but this was 1 thin slice of roast pork, 1 slice of ham, and some cheese on what appeared to be Hardtack. It was actually crunchy. When I asked about it the server said "That's the way our chef makes them".We decided to not make a fuss and ate. When it came time to get our check she seemed to have disappeared. so I went looking. I found her and she gave me the check and said she'd be right out to get it. 10 minutes later I took the check to the bar and paid.I don't know if there has been a change in management, staff, or policy, but the service we got that evening stunk! It seemed that when our server realized we weren't going to order more beer everytime she walked by, she forgot about us. Also, the food quality seems like there's a new "chef" and He/She really doesn't care about quality. We probably won't be back.

In 1978, we opened our first Machine Shed Restaurant on the outskirts of Davenport, Iowa. We had just 100 seats, but we started with a powerful commitment. That was a five-word constitution: âDedicated to the American Farmer.â That dedication meant we wor
Host was very nice. Extremely helpful. But he was the only one. Waiter AJ was slow, not engaged. Brought cold fries and beans with the ribs. Once served never asked how it was going. Place was filthy. Got pie to go asked three times for plastic ware as we are staying in a hotel. He never checked. Paid the bill and nice young man as the host had done no problem.I'm sorry to hear that your experience wasn't up to expectations; however, please know that I will be forwarding along your comments to our management team for review. Thank you for your feedback.

John's is an old-fashioned root beer stand/restaurant. We had pulled pork sandwiches (which were decent) and French fries (which were good). Their root beer is interesting - very creamy but a bit sweet for our taste. They don't have indoor dining. It was a nice day so we ate at one of their picnic tables. We paid about $9/person. We could've picked cheaper options but we felt we got decent value.

Before meeting our friends to listen to some music we found a nice bar & grille on Main street, We were seated at once and our drink orders were taken. My wife had a Moscow Mule and I had my usual. Bev ordered the Buffalo flat bread and I had the Friday Fish special. Both meals were good and plentiful. Service was very good but a bit noisy where we were seated but what would you expect at a bar on Friday evening. We felt is was a good choice by chance while in Waukesha.

Looking for good food? Fuzzyâs on Main Street. I ordered eggs, toast, and sausages. My brother-in-law ordered a scramble. Fifteen minutes after getting the food, we both had clean plates. My coffee cup was kept full with no reminders.Iâll be back.

The restaurant Thunder Bay Grille's spacious interior seamlessly melds contemporary elements with a warm lodge setting. Natural elements of light and dark woods and soft colored stones are combined with sparkle of glass to create a relaxing and inviting a
Our family met at this beautiful restaurant for lunch on the patio. It was a beautiful day to be outside and with family. Unfortunately the wait staff left a lot to be desired. First we had to ask for menus...no, not everyone is there for the all you can eat Buffett. When asking what kind of hot tea was available, the waitress said..."oh I don't know, there is a while variety in a box." Hmmm...how about..."I'll bring out a box with a variety of teas for you."Waiting another 10-15 minutes, she finally comes back to take our order. Brings our drinks and meals...no problem except we have no silverware. Well, that took another 10-15 minutes by which time my brother-in-law finally had gotten up to get some eatting utensils for all of us. My sister in law has dietary restrictions so she asked what the sauce was made out of that came with her meal...no one seemed to know if it had any dairy in it...they would have to ask the chef...but he wasn't there! What?Next, a customer at a neighboring table asked there server a question to which he responded..."oh I'm out the door I'll pass that along to whoever is taking over. Really? It's unfortunate...it's a nice place and the food is fine. Probably won't go back for a while.Happytravelers80123, thank you for dining with us and taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience. We sincerely apologize for the unacceptable service issues during your visit. Please know we have discussed the importance of paying better attention to all aspects of service with our entire staff. We would like to invite you back to show you a true Thunder Bay Grille experience. Please email me at [email protected] to discuss further. Thank you.

People's Park is an upscale restaurant and bar in historic Downtown Waukesha on the corner of Clinton and Main. Housed in a historic landmark building, we are a smoke-free Bar and restaurant and are whipping up some of the best sandwiches and appetizers..
After an arduous and long day of travel i ended in Waukesha. The hotel restaurant was closed and they recommended Taylorâs. The bar tender was great and friendly. He poured me a nice drink and gave me a food menu. I tried the crab Rangoon spring rolls; awesome! I also got the grilled cheese to go with the cucumber salad side. The salad was unexpectedly wonderful. The grilled cheese perfectly toasted.

We have been avoiding this place as I believe sharing places usually charge too much for too little. But friends wanted to go here so we did. They don't accept reservations so we wound up sitting at the bar even though we were there by 5:30, much earlier than we usually eat. I get the sharing thing to try different items, but the portions are so small that you don't get much more than a few bites of each item. The ahi and scallops were good, but we found the short ribs to be dry and chewy while the chicken and duck thighs came whole which made cutting them into sharing pieces to be a challenge.Even with getting a tostada each to start and 4 dishes for 4 people, we didn't have anything left over.
