One of my absolute favorite places for lunch, ever. I have had a lot of wraps, sandwiches and soups across the Eastern USA but Vito's is at the top. The sandwiches are HUGE so if you want one instead of a wrap order a half size unless you plan on taking the other half home/back to work/sharing. The food is always fresh, and the macadamia nut cookies (if you can get one before they run out for the day) are perfect. They server many coffees as well, and have fruits, salads and chips. Many professionals come here during their lunch breaks so if you don't want to hit the lunch crowd go before noon or after 1pm. I have also often seen the owner working the back and the front, as well as sitting and talking with customers from time to time.

A staple of Watertown, Shorty's Diner offers up classic, delicious, and comforting diner food. Shorty's Place has all the mouthwatering dishes your heart could desire. We serve up the best burgers, fries, wraps, and shakes in the North Country!
This is a great local, non-chain restaurant that really should be tried. Exceptionally clean with cute and creative mid-century modern diner decor. The menu is extensive but homey and not overly complicated. Large counter seating option which we enjoy in this type of place. Friendly staff with a laid back, unhurried atmosphere. Good, reliable food. Server gladly accommodated our dietary needs. Good value, too

Last Christmas, I took my sister who was visiting for a meal. It was excellent, all-round. But yesterday's Fourth of July visit was disappointing. The rib-eye steak was so over-seasoned that I could only really taste salt, not steak. They brought back another attempt and it was less bad but still salty. I like well-seasoned steak, but this went beyond that. When the manager came to talk with me, I told her that their cook needs to taste the food to check on the seasoning. She said, "Oh, the cook cannot taste -- we have recipes from head office that the cook must follow"(!) As I know from home-cooking, not all salt is created equal. Sea salt and kosher salt is generally saltier than ordinary table salt. Also, as the rib-eye was sauced, it may have been that the cook should have left off the dry rub if the sauce was already well seasoned . . . Disappinting, especially from LongHorn. :-(

After our recent snowstorm, we really wanted to get out and have breakfast for a late late lunch- someone else doing the cooking, please:) We ended up going here because most of our favorite local diners close around 2pm, and we wanted BREAKFAST! I ordered a basic breakfast- 2 eggs, homefries, biscuits & sausage gravy, and bacon. It was perfect, and my arteries seem to be still functioning:)Dang! The biscuits are great... i think theres a half stick of butter in each one... The kids had pancakes, i tried a bite- fluffy and addictive, just like pancakes usually are.My wife was happy with her meal as well. Service was good. It was a slow day, only 4 tables full. service was kind, attentive and helpful. One of the best things is- it wasn't too expensive. You get what you pay for. If you want breakfast - and you are on Arsenal street--this is the place-

Here during the slow and stormy winter months during sub zero weather after the holidays. Really nice friendly waitress who was cool when I did not like the local Cab-note: 1000 Lakes wines tend to be sweet, Finger Lakes dry. She got me Sauv Blanc no prob. It was too cold for the grilled salmon bowl which sounded great if it was not -17 (true temp outside) and she and chef provided me a hot grilled salmon, Korean Spiced Grains and Grilled Veg. Everything was yummy but the salmon was cooked perfectly-a little medium like in Europe. Really hit the spot and am hard pressed to think of a better meal Iâve had at one of the HGI sites. Will eat here again.Thank you Hilltonowner843, for the review of your positive experience at The Grille. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our new and improved menu. The menu has many different delicious options and we are glad you found one to your liking. We are also pleased to know your server was able help you decided on the perfect wine. Our servers goal is to go above and beyond the guest needs. We look forward to serving you in the future.Thank you,Alisha

We have always stopped here on our shopping trips. Sadly this will be our last visit. Our waitress was wonderful and very efficient unfortunately the food was atrocious. Orders eggs over hard and received runny eggs. Hash brown casserole was was very disappointing. A small smudge of cold unappetizing food. It wasnât even worth the money we paid

Last dinner with daughter on my trip to Watertown. She recommended CCâs since she missed St. Patrickâs Day this year. We had an early seating in the dining area. The bar was nearly full with folks watching sports and enjoying a cold NNY day. It was a bit raucous but people were having fun. Our server quickly came over, greeted us and took our drink order. I had the Guinness pint and daughter ordered water. After reading their extensive menu, we both settled on Corned Beef and Cabbage. I also had a cup of clam chowder. They have the usual Irish and Englished based dishes, including: shepherds pie, bangers and mash, fish nâ chips, etc.. along with steaks, sandwiches and burgers. They also have a full bar with many good on tap beer selections. The chowder was just ok. It was a bit more soupy than I prefer and while very tasty it lacked a bit of girth. The clams seemed fresh but were chopped too fine for my preference. Still it was served nice and warm with oyster crackers. This was the only negative about our meal. The CB&C was served hot, steamy and well portioned. The dish had 3 thick slices of CB, perfectly seasoned (that mustard seed really was nice), a generous cut of cabbage steamed aldente and small potatoes served whole. The dish was filling and had the right amount of savory. It was thoroughly enjoyed!

We stopped in our way back through from PA. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole visit. Old world charm still rings through in the restaurant. The steak sandwiches were very hearty and tasty. Only issue was they donât make their own fries but are using a frozen crinkle cut. A great meal at a fair price. Will definitely stop by again
