Clean restaurant. Nice comfortable seating inside and out. We ordered combo 2 plate with clam bellies and fish, really tasty and a good value...and not heavily battered or greasy. Also burgers that were good. Overall happy with atmosphere and food. We also ordered clam chowder. I would skip that next time around however... it was watery, the flavors were off somehow and not a lot of substance to it. Everything else was great :)

Makepeace Farms, A.D. Makepeace with Ocean Spray and other sponsors, once a year put on the a two day cranberry festival in October here on the grounds. The bog tours are amazing! It was so fun to put on a pair of waders and actually get into the bog! Next year, I'd like to get my entire family into the bog and take our Christmas card photo! It was fascinating to learn about the dry harvest vs the wet harvest, and to see all of the equipment, historical and current, that is used to harvest the cranberries. Lots of delicious cranberry based foods are served in the many booths as well as in the Makepeace Farms restaurant itself. There were over a hundred craft booths, pony rides, helicopter rides and a wonderful interactive owl demonstration, with seven owls of different species. There is lots of help available to get to the bog tours from the parking lot, and special help is given for those that might need special physical assistance. Wonderful time at Makepeace Farms, all things cranberry are covered here!

Nothing fancy, old and rustic on the Wareham River. We had drinks and a turkey club for lunch. Club was great, fries were overdone, very hard, probably should have sent them back. Service and atmosphere average.

Met family for dinner on a Monday evening, so no wait. Large menu - Food was good but could be better. We all had steaks which were cooked perfectly, but we all commented that they were too salty. On the other hand some of the sides were somewhat bland. Service was slow, particularly since they were not busy.

We are staying in the area for a few months and tried this place at the recommendation of friends. The restaurant shares space with a motel so parking is abundant. We were greeted and seated immediately. We were seated beneath an air conditioning vent and were cold throughout our visit. Our server introduced himself promptly and professionally. He discussed the nuances of the menu for us newbies. Our food was brought out not long after we ordered. The food was not hot. At best it was tepid and the presentation was uninspired. The restaurant was not busy but our server didn't check back with us until we were completely finished eating. *Rant warning* What ever happened to servers checking shortly after delivery of the meal to make sure everything is correct? Seems fewer and fewer servers do this anymore. When I go into an eating establishment, by default I will leave a 20% tip on the pretax portion of the tab. All the wait staff has to do is not disappoint. Beginning with this experience and from now on, if the server does not check back shortly after food delivery, it's a 5% deduction. Josh, that explanation is for you. *End of rant*All in all, this first experience at this facility left us both certain we won't be back. We're so sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at this location. Would you mind reaching out through our contact us page with your Name, phone number and email address so we may personally follow up with you? We'd appreciate the opportunity to make this right, as well as get some more details about your visit so that we can utilize your feedback to improve our restaurants. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience & we look forward to hearing from you.

Your locationRiverside Cafe189 Main St, Wareham, MA 02571BreakfastKevin Hensley6168 points 5 hours ago5 stars to me means the best-of-the-best among other characterizations. I'm not sure where you are eating but? For sure, the Riverside Cafe in Wareham puts-out a solid breakfast experience. This is a quaint and friendly local Cafe which caters to societal, local, and regional eating habits. My case-in-point can be found in their table condiments. (Picture included) This is a comfy enough restaurant which surrounds you in what could be described as your grandmother's over exuberant omage to candyland. As cited in many other reviews; the service and staff are a very friendly and talkative lot/bunch. We were engaged in a conversation regarding a shared affinity for crime detctive television. The food was prepared quickly and to order, and in fairness, the crowd was light. The omelettes were presented very well and the taste was good and served appropriately warm, but would require some seasoning to enhance the flavors. The coffee was of mid-range quality, but certainly better than Farmer Bros. The [side] of beacon was large, tasty, and crispy. Their popular cinnamon toast is good but comes with a layer of sugar on the crust which for me is not preferred. Overall, the rating should be in the range of 4.1-4.3 stars. Thanks and enjoy!

Was looking forward to a delicious frozen yogurt, I didnât find it here. Ordered a chocolate peanut butter frozen yogurt. Wasnât like any other frozen yogurt I ever had. Was expecting something nice and creamy. What I got was like just peanut butter and a trace of chocolate.

Situated on the picturesque Weweantic River, the Gateway Tavern is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of seating in our dining room. Watch a game while gathered around the bar with friends, have a family dinner night out in our dining room or call i
Nothing fancy but good food and lots of it! Service was good. Not particularly roomy around the tables but adequate. Large menu with something for everyone, including Portuguese dishes. Comfort food mainly. I had some truffle fries for an appetizer which were very good. My Portuguese haddock was very nice, slightly spicy and good sized helping with a side of pickled beets. My wife salmon was a bit cold however it was tasty. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Seven of us had appetizers to share and one drink each and a main course for $38 including tax and tip. I would not hesitate to return as the vibe was good - friendly local restaurant. Family friendly. We arrived on a Saturday night around 5 and it was packed! Just a word of warning, and that was in October!

Food is excellent and you can always count on that. Restaurant is limited on days open. It opens at 4:30 and if you want to get a table, you need to arrive just before 4:30. Tables are available for later dining but there is a wait for one.

Overall we had a great experience here. Quaint little place, great food, even better dessert. 100% would recommend, just make sure to dress for the occasion since itâs a tad more business casual (they wonât turn you away if you arenât, but the setting is on the formal side). Great for either a date night or even just a family outing, lots to choose from.
