Find out what American restaurants to try in Wahiawa. Wahiawa (Hawaiian: Wahiawā) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States, on the island of Oahu. It is located in the Wahiawa District, on the plateau or "central valley" between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island. In Hawaiian, wahi a wā means "place of noise", perhaps a reference to the fact that heavy surf on the North Shore could be heard from here, or to the sounds of the ancient military training exercises conducted on these plains. The population was 17,821 at the 2010 census.

I'm not sure if they use different chicken than in Rhode Island or less salt or what. Just not as good at the Waihiwa location. Others on Oahu may be better.
This is a favorite dessert place for locals. They offer cakes, pies, donuts and other pastries but they are known for their malasadas

Started off lunch with a delicious Bloody Mary. Thick tomato taste with a kick, just like I like it. The sandwich of the day was a fresh caught Ahi tuna salad melt on a toasted Taro bun. I split that with my sister and she ordered the Cajun fish sandwich in a soft taro bun. Both were absolutely delicious. The Cajun fish was just spicy enough and the soft taro bun had that sweet Hawaiian bread taste you know and love. No more pricy then anywhere else in town for lunch. We were hoping to get back one day for one of the Benedictâs for breakfast and another Bloody Mary, but werenât able to.

My wife and i stopped in for dinner after visiting the North Shore area. I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi and my wife had the Shrimp Cocktail and a bowl of clam chowder. When I saw the Shrimp Cocktail I had to take a picture of it. We highly recommend everything at the Haleiwa Beach House. It has atmosphere, location and excellent food. Need I say more!

I have read and heard many reviews and my husband and I finally decided to try. We arrived around 10am and was not busy. I ordered Belgian Waffle with fresh strawberries with side of Bacon. My husband order the Local Breakfast. Our food arrived and it was served COLD. The scoop of butter on my waffle would not melt because waffle was cold. I quietly ate and never mentioned it to my husband. On our drive home, he asked me if my food was cold..and said his breakfast was served cold. He too noticed the butter on my waffle never melted. One other comment, the coffee they serve needs to be a better blend. As a coffee drinker, the coffee was not great. Im sorry to give low review, but no matter how tasty the food is, cold food was a disappointment. Service was great.

Went to this place for a quick lunch with family. Place is very accommodating, spacious, bright and really projects the local beach vibe. Service was ok.Food came out average. We had the pork belly appetizer and it was average, wasnât that tender we expected it to be. Had the clam chowder, and it was fresh but needs to be seasoned more. My mom had the seafood pasta, and it was creamy and good. This place has a lot of potential to really offer up higher quality food. Also, it would have been a better experience if servers were not preparing their utensils loudly especially when people around are still eating.

Koa pancake house does not pretend to be anything fancy! It is served on disposable plates and take about 5 minutes to get your order. The pancakes are incredible! We definitely ordered too many, but the macadamia nut pancakes and red velvet pancakes were fantastic. Not expensive at all. Definitely worth the trip!

We were here for dinner. Our orders were taken fairly soon after being seated. The food was OK. One in our party requested a second portion of vegetable rather than a starch. The waitress did not mention that there was a significant extra charge for the substitution. One diner ordered dessert which did not require extra preparation. After at least 15 minutes, it still had not arrived. Since we were under a time constraint, we had to cancel the dessert order. At least, the restaurant is clean. There are better places in which to eat, even in WahiawÄ.
