Although Tucson's fantastic weather, national parks and forests and desert provide the perfect environment for tons of outdoor recreational activities, this city of half a million people also has its share of history and culture. With a history that goes back much further than many of its southwestern neighbors, Tucson boasts turn-of-the-century architecture, historic neighborhoods, museums and the Mission San Xavier del Bac, a still-functioning 18th-century mission considered one of the most beautiful in the U.S. Mexican and Native American influences are pervasive, and the city has a distinctly Western flavor. There's also a college-town atmosphere, thanks to the University of Arizona, which has its own share of museums and a science center. Whether golfing at a world-class golf resort, horseback riding, hiking in the wilderness, discovering desert flora and fauna at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum or exploring pre-Columbian and other art at the Tucson Art Museum, you'll have a mind-boggling array of things to do.

As with everything great, one must first seek the roots. In our case, we are lucky enough to have our first restaurant, Wildflower, continuously thriving and serving the local and die-hard fans of Fox Restaurant Concepts in Tucson. While our seasonal menu
I give Wildflower a 4 star because of the NOISE level inside; outside patio seating was comfortable --met friends for drinks and appetizers; the grilled artichoke and smoked salmon excellent; my husband enjoyed his mussels; i am not a fan, did not taste them. Our friend ordered a refill of wine; the word didn't get passed to our server who immediately followed up when notified. we live here and it is one of "lets go"places

This is the perfect venue for a memorable fine dining occasion! I recently hosted a dinner party for 12 guests @ Bobâs to celebrate my milestone birthday. I could not have picked a better setting. Upon arrival, we all gathered on their lovely patio over looking the Tucson National Golf course. We enjoyed cocktails & panko shrimp which were gigantic & so very tasty. Most of us could have made a meal out of the shrimp. The dinner was served in one of their private dining rooms, which worked out very well for our large group. The majority of guests ordered the 9 oz filet mignon & a few had the 14 oz. Prime ribeye steak. Everyoneâs meat was cooked to perfection with no complaints! Meal portions as well as desserts are quite large. I had the carrot cake since that is my favorite, but others ordered key lime pie & the creme brûlée. Everything was absolutely delicious & all my guests raved about the quality of the food. I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service we received. The service staff was exceptional!

This is a fairly small "mom and pop" type place in a strip mall set back from the main road. We were seated quickly and a waitress came to our table promptly. Breakfast menu has the usual breakfast type items - omelettes, egg dishes, pancakes, french toast, ect and of course, biscuits and gravy. Good selection of sides with your entree- home fries, hash browns, grits, cottage cheese, toast, english muffin, pancakes and more. Portion size was good and everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered. All in all, nothing unusual or outstanding here, but a good, clean, restaurant with good food and service.Hi Skilovers,Thank you for letting us know that your visit was great and your meal was delicious. We appreciate all of your kind words about your meal and love hearing that our portions are great. We look forward to taking care of you again soon.

A small but very busy restaurant. You are seated and taken care of right away and it seems the whole staff is there to help, not just the person that took the order. Food cooked great. Enjoyed a special of the day.

Executive Chef Ken Harvey has created a delicious menu for you to savor indoors in our rustic dining room, in front of the cozy fireplaceâor outdoors on our patio, surrounded by magnificent views. Indulge in our famous table-side guacamole, made to order
Everything about our dining experience at the Flying V was memorable. Our evening started with the made-at-your-table guacamole, which was some of the best we've ever tasted. Our service team was attentive, without being distracting, and the design and layout of the facility was appealing. We tried a range of entrees, from rack of lamb (cooked perfectly) to sea scallops to filet. The lamb was best, but all were fantastic. We skipped dessert, but the menu looked tempting. If you're looking for a nice night out with a standard but satisfying menu, check out the Flying V. And don't forget the guac!

The location was not so great but the restaurant itself was clean and pleasant. All ingredients seem to be supplied by local people/company. I had smoked salmon eggs benedict. Smoked salmon was little on the salty side, but overall it was great. Their bacon was awesome. Thick and tasty. I would order bacon dish next time. The price was also pretty reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Another restaurant tried based on TA reviews which we thought was average. We stopped by for lunch and were surprised that there was only one other couple in the restaurant. The service was good but the food was just average. Itâs worth a try if youâre close by but donât expect to be blown away by the food.

Gentle Benâs is an excellent brewhouse/pub/grill in the University area of Tucson. It is quite popular in a busy area. There is lots of indoor and outdoor dining space. Prices are reasonable and service is good and pleasant. Food is quite good. Reasonably priced parking is nearby.
