Situated just slightly off the main street of downtown Landrum, Southside Smokehouse is more than the name suggests. Though great barbecue is a staple of our menu we also offer burgers, steaks, Cajun/Creole cuisine and now our new locally sourced, globall
Some of the best Q we have ever had! Clean and a very professional and efficient wait staff. The bbq pulled pork sandwiches were awesome and the hush puppies pretty darn tasty. If we are back in this area...we will make this a must stop! Enjoy!

Stopped in before work for some lunch! Not super impressed with how you order an the way the meal is. Let explain if you order a sandwich or burger you donât get French fries or chip you have to pay extra for them ! But the food is good ! I had the roast beef melt an it was very good!

Every time we stay at the Orchard Innwe indulge and treat ourselves to dinner on the porch. There is something magical about this place. From the beauty of the view to the excellent service to the amazing food, this is a memorable dining experience. This time I especially enjoyed the gazpacho starter and the wonderful lamb chops. The peach crepe brûlée was an excellent finish. Treat yourself and enjoy the best dining experience in Western North Carolina. The Orchard Inn is myfavorite inn of all inns and Newmanâs is a winner! Thank you for your kind remarks. We are very proud of our fabulous chef and his entire team who strive to exceed expectations one plate at a time. We look forward to your next visit!
The Tryon Coffeehouse Co-op is run by a group of friends that are continuing the tradition of the downtown coffeehouse started by Bill Ingham and Wendy Ingham. We serve delicious coffe and pastries, and give back to our community!
I wandered into this coffeehouse today while I was waiting for my truck to be serviced. I was met with warm hellos and smiles by the customers assembled within. The menu offered lots of coffee ad tea choices. There was also an appetizing array of breakfast muffins and scones from which to choose. Prices seemed very reasonable. I spent a couple of hours there reading, and enjoying coffee and a huge pumpkin muffin. There appeared to be many regulars as well as new folks popping in. The ambience was very warm and welcoming. I definitely recommend Tryon Coffeehouse Co-op, and will no doubt return myself.

As you drive through Tryon NC heading to Landrum, SC, you may just drive by the Harvest House. Itâs an unassuming little place, possibly mistake it for a diner. But this place surprised me with an amazing dinner. I had almond crusted trout with 2 unique side dishes. A great wine selection too. The friends I was with often stop there for lunch too! They love it!

Knowing that Carolina BBQ is mostly pork butt, I am always skeptical about the brisket. However, I was not disappointed! The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, super tasty and moist. Service is as very friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot to keep in my go-toâs for good barbecue.

The four of us had excellent meals and enjoyed the atmosphere. We met friends here from out of town. We all had good meals and service was excellent. One gluten free and one vegetarian in our group and we had no trouble finding food to order from their large menu.Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. We're glad you enjoyed our menu and that we were able to meet your needs. We look forward to seeing you again!

Old cabin on the Pacolet River, complete with covered bridge and rocking porch. Menu and service are nothing short of amazing. You order your entree from a menu with all prices either $17.50 or $18.50. Shrimp, flounder, ribeye steak, scallops, country ham, trout, chicken livers, and others. All meals come with the same side dishes, served family style. Macaroni salad, cole slaw, fried apples, green beans. Our busy server, Linda Searcy, was so nice that she hugged us when we left. Highly recommend this place. It's like stepping back in time to a much happier, friendlier era.

Lavender Bistro is under new ownership/management as of January 2016. Chef Ross has used his creativity and taken the suggestions of many long term guests and designed a brand new menu. As of March, 2018 the menu has again been updated in order to offer o
We were a large group of locals, with a private reservation. The only ones in the restaurant for the first hour. Only one other foursome was seated the entire evening, and they were visitors to Tryon. Word of mouth from a local, go someplace else. Service was very good until kitchen problems began. One person was served almost 45 minutes after everyone else. Risotto was gummy and bland, terrible mushy and over-cooked. And even with server's assurance one of the seafood items was completely missing. The large plate had only one more shrimp and scallop than the smaller plate. Not worth the price. We won't be back. But then we said that the last time we went two years ago.

We came to town to see Nina Simone Plaza and stopped here for lunch. Amazing! Loved the decor and well spaced tables. Outside seating is available, but it was too hot for our tastes the day we were there. My husband ordered the meatloaf sandwich that came wrapped in bacon on brie with a sauce. I had the Thai chili shrimp tacos with the beer battered fries. Both were delicious! Lots of other items on the menu also looked tempting too.Only two waitresses on duty, but they hustled and we never felt neglected. Great experience all around!Morning Welcome to Tryon It was special meeting you and your husband, thank you for complimenting my wait staff they work real hard to bring smiles to all Safe travels home. Michaila
