It used to be that JDT's made a good breakfast in the morning and a good burger and handout fries for lunch and later. Several months ago, however it added world class pizza similar to the pies offered at Pepe's, or Sallys in Wooster Square, New Haven. The quality knocks the socks off of all pies in our area especially if you enjoy a thin crust pie. JDT's reached out to find a way to do something special and knocked it out of the park.

Good food, friendly and efficient service, and reasonable prices. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals - salads, omelets, sandwiches, and fish platters. Very good coffee too! Gotta return to try their chicken pot pie! Several gluten free items for those that require/want that option. They offer lunch time delivery Mon. - Fri..

Met a friend here for lunch since itâs half way for us both. I had the roasted tomato and red pepper bisque. Wow. Was it ever good. Then I had the spinach salad with the lemon/herb marinated chicken skewers. Great salad. The chicken was expensive for what you get. My friend had the baked French onion soup and a Ruben sandwich. She said it was delicious. The staff was great. Would definitely come back.

The restaurant itself is a little rough around the edges but they are ready to provide a good meal. I selected the broiled scallops and was delighted to receive perfectly cooked large, succulent scallops accompanied by nicely prepared mashed potatoes and vegetables. The server we had was a hoot, very nice, with running commentaries. My sisters both had the baked stuffed shrimp. I traded off some scallops and truly enjoy the shrimp too. Adequate parking behind and along side the restaurant. Getting out (taking a left out of the parking lot) is a bit dicey so be prepared to take a right and then turn around up the road if the street is busy. Fairly priced meals. Would recommend.

This is right across the street from the American Clock and Watch Museum. We were eager to go the museum so this seemed like a good fit. It turned out to be a very good choice. They close at two and we slipped in a shade before and they were still gracious and welcoming. We both had the Philly Cheese Steak which we enjoyed immensely. Perfectly seasoned beef with cheese onions and peppers served on a fresh grinder roll. Our server, Taylor was pleasant and accommodating. The cafe' is bigger then it looks as there are two rooms decorated with some interesting pieces as well as clocks in keeping with the museum. Perfect choice for lunch before or after the museum.

Perfectly seasoned chunks of white meat chicken, truly cooked to perfection. The only caveat is to wear a bib if you get the BBQ sauced chicken-- it is very sticky + messy. But so delicious.

Went with friends for dinner. Was hoping for some live music but none scheduled for our night. We had calamari and the butternut squash soup for apps. I personally could not eat my soup because it was too peppery but everyone else liked theirs. My hubby had the rib eye, he is a picky steak lover and he said it was awesome. The ribs, the combo platter which had brisket and pulled pork a hit. My girlfriend had the chicken Louisiana, it was too spicy for her so my hubby ate hers also. Can't wait to go back.

Always on the lookout for a good breakfast spot, we were directed to the Luck Cup for a Sunday morning get together with family. Its a casual, seat yourself spot that looks to have plenty of regulars. That in itself is a recommendation to follow. We found a booth and were promptly attended to by one of the very friendly staff. We tried a variety of the fare on offer. Sausage and cheese omelette, poached egg on toast, bacon egg and cheese on bagel accompanied by either home fries or hash browns. (home fries being cut up, hash browns being grilled shredded potatoes). Servings were ample, enough to satisfy a hungry family, and very tasty. We were glad to find Lucky Cup, enough so that we made a return visit the following Sunday. Our first impression proved to be a good representation of what you can expect at Luck Cup. Good family fare, reasonable prices, friendly staff and prompt service. Three stars for a new go-to breakfast spot.
