Discover Restaurants offering the best American food in Taos, New Mexico, United States. A rolling mesa at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Taos has a magical quality. Its rugged beauty, majestic mountains, wild Rio Grande river and unique blend of cultures - Spanish, Native American and Anglo - have historically drawn artists and photographers, evidenced by the plentiful galleries, museums and festivals. To experience the Native American culture here, explore Taos Pueblo, where the Tiwa Native Americans have practiced their traditions for centuries. Finally, the Anglo influence is prevalent in the business district, with its shops, art galleries and some of the finest restaurants in New Mexico. "Best Burger in New Mexico" - USA Today. 5 Star serves hormone and antibiotic free Angus beef from Creekstone Farms, fresh ground daily and char grilled to desired temperature. We also offer specialty salads and sandwiches complimented by a great selectio
The spinach salad was a surprise. Unexpected high quality for a restaurant specializing in hamburgers. My wife and I do not go out for hamburgers very often. We both had excellent hamburgers.Portions are generous. They were busy and service was a bit slow..The Chocolate Milkshake was served properly with the metal mixing container brought to the table for a refill. The milkshake had an odd flavor. I think this must be due to the brand of ice cream uses. We're glad you enjoyed the spinach salad and burgers. Thanks for letting us know!

Just missed breakfast, so wait for food was as a bit long due to changeover. Server was polite, attentive, and appropriately apologetic.Menu varied and everything cooked to order. Flavorful and well prepared. Can either dine inside or on an outdoor patio. Relaxing ambiance. Bent Street Deli and Cafe is an excellent mid price range dining option in Taos.

Hand-crafted baked goods and delicious, quality food in a relaxed environment.
Stopped in this busy cafe and enjoyed a good, (enormous), breakfast. We were there on Veterans' Day so it was particularly busy. Very friendly staff.Good range of food

We are in Taos for a bridge competition and don't like the hotel breakfast, so went wandering this morning for something else. Came across this diner. Very pleasant ambiance, equally pleasant and efficient staff. Our food was typical breakfast fare - eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, toast, coffee and tea. Portions were sizable, everything was served promptly and hot, and we would happily go back.

Check out my lunch ~ Picadillo Bison Empanadas: Bison, raisins, tomatoes, onions, Kalamata olives, and spices, simmered in a sweet and savory sauce, baked into a pastry dough crust. Served with a side salad.Simply delicious! Our waitress was such a thoughtful individual with a wonderful energy and provided some great suggestions to stop at in Taos. We weren't in a rush and loved the laid back pace.p.s. Easy to miss on the left when you're on 64 heading South/East - in the back of the other shops so keep a look out and turn around if you go to far!Be well LipstickWarriors

My husband and I had dinner here twice on our 3 night stay in Taos. The setting is lovely. Service excellent. We had the quesadilla, tamale, tacos and poblano and a glass of wine. All were flavorful and delicious and felt special...things we could never make this way at home. Reservations are a must.

Medley delivers quality and value. We have eaten here on two or three occasions and always been happy with setting, service, food and value. The last time we went with family, we had the most amazing desert ever, a kind of re-envisioned, taken apart and put pack together, tiramisu--beautiful to look at and a wow to eat. We also had the lemon souffle, wonderful as well. A great place with a casual sophistication rarely found outside of major urban centers. Go!

Lambert's of Taos is a family-owned full service, upscale establishment serving Contemporary American cuisine in an elegant but relaxed setting. We are one of the few establishments in town that serves cocktails in addition to beer and wine. Upstairs we h
On previous stops in Taos, we've walked past Lambert's, not having any idea of what was waiting inside. Last night, though, we were in for a glorious treat. Though we had no reservation (you'll want to make one) we were still able to be offered dinner in either of the two bars and chose the downstairs bar that had a kiva fireplace, a few tables and also nice seating at the bar itself. Staff were amazingly attentive and friendly, we felt truly pampered at our fireside table. The menus are excellent. Our LYFT driver assured us we'd be dining at the best restaurant in town and that's exactly how we felt. Not usually a person impressed by salad dressing, I have to say the Gorgonzola Herb dressing on our Hydro Bibb Wedge was beyond delicious. For our entrees, both were what we were craving, beautiful to look at and cooked perfectly. We ordered and definitely would recommend:Hydro Bibb Wedge- pickled red onion, gorgonzola, red chile candied bacon, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, gorgonzola herb dressing.Gold Canyon Lamb Loin- moroccan spiced, roasted eggplant puree, bone marrow salsa verde, grilled asparagus.Maple Leaf Farms Grilled Duck Breast- fregola with Salazar tasso ham, wilted summer greens, pickled peach relish.Creme Brûlée for dessert. We order creme brûlée, anywhere it's offered and this was the BEST we've had, yet.Thank You Lambert's staff, so much, our evening was beautiful, comfortable and absolutely delicious. We will be back.

My wife has Celiacâs Disease and has to eat strictly Gluten Free. Trip Advisor shows this restaurant as GF however they donât truly understand GF and the end result after many questions it was determined that she could only have dry chicken breast or modified salad. They marinate most meats with Soy Sauce. If you need to eat GF you need to pick a different restaurant. On the good side the food looked good. The staff seemed nice and the building was very cool. We ended up leaving without eating since I wanted my wife to have something good. We went to Bellaâs. Just as beautiful and they had a great selection of GF meals. Bellaâs Was the best meal we had in TaosWe donât usually respond to reviews- but I do feel the need to respond to this particular one. 1st of all we do not claim to have an all Gluten Free menu. We do however have gluten free options. Secondly we do not marinate all of our meats in soy sauce - however we did inform you that the particular dish you ordered did have soy sauce - we always make sure to check with our chef - and he did inform us that it contains gluten. He was able to make the same dish with unmarinated chicken to try and accommodate your needs. For you to say that it was a dry piece of chicken makes no sense since you never even tried it. And for your information our salads are gluten free and need no modifications. We appreciate you coming In- we are sorry you did not give us a try and we are glad that you found what you were looking for . But you canât really make a comment about the food you never tried. Our staff is fully trained to verify all situations with or chef - this review however made it seem like we are not aware of what gluten free is. We have accommodated many customers in the past successfully.May you have a great day!
