Originally known as Phoebe's Garden Cafe, the restaurant has a long and colorful history in Syracuse. Local lore claims that the building was originally a brothel, and Phoebe was its madam. The tin ceiling above the bar is original to the building and the
Beautiful restaurant with several areas to seat. Friendly service. Great location. Small lunch menu yet with good healthy options, and with daily specials. Everything we had was wonderful: presentation and taste. Good quiche, great salmon, tasty ahi tuna, superb desserts.

You wonât go hungry with there breakfast. Super large portions, pancakes the size of hub caps. Huge plates over flowing with food. To me the food has always been tasty. Donât expect a fancy restaurant or diner. Earlier in the morning it is a workmenâs breakfast spot, later in the morning you will run into families. Like I said it is a little rough around the edges and there may be some salty language heard. I suggest you and your spouse try it then bring your children later. It may turn out to be a couples only breakfast spot.

The Clam Bar is is more than just your average seafood place. Menu offerings include seafood, chicken, steak, and burgers. The Clam Bar is known for delivering exceptional food at an affordable cost.
Had wonderful food- thatâs a 5 star...service rushed. After I got my second glass of wine, manager came over to tell me people were waiting for this table. REALLY??? Why Sell me the wine? Take my money for the wine, and then say, âget the hell out?â Too rushed for comfort.

This restaurant has wonderful food. My daughter loves their Chicken Piccata and it wasn't on the menu so they offered to make it especially for her. You can't beat that for service! We were there on a Friday and it wasn't loud even though it was busy. Food selections are terrific and the desserts are scrumptious.

Went on a Tuesday evening around and there was a short wait. Very small space but the wait staff turns tables fast without rushing you. Good list of local craft beers as well as some national favorites. Daily specials that looked excellent. Decided on their classic pot roast poutine and while it is not the traditional Montreal poutine (very little cheese and not sharp) it was rich and yummy. Gravy was solid and the pot roast melted in your mouth. Moved on to entrees of bbq maple pork chop for me and grilled cheese sandwich with short rib for my friend. Both were outstanding. Ton of meat in the grilled cheese that made it decadent and a perfectly cooked, tender, juicy pork chop. Sides were good but the mashed potatoes while creamy could have used some more flavor. After waiting decades to visit I will return very soon as there were many other menu items that sounded wonderful.

Iâve been twice and never really a disappointment but nothing special for food or atmosphere. Iâd say itâs about average and definitely gets packed fast. Iâd recommend to people for breakfast if theyâre not in a rush and can get there early enough to get a decent seat.

Dinner was overly priced. $12 for glass of wine, $5 for Bud light. Additional costs for cold risotto, crumbly bleu cheese for salad. Will never ever go there again!

We stopped for dinner while staying in the area. Stella's is a classic diner with a comprehensive menu. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was good and plentiful, and our drink glasses were never empty. The restrooms were clean as was the dining area. A solid choice if you are in the area.

"The Irish Pub You've Been Training For"... Where the Craic of Ireland meets the heart of Downtown Syracuse.
I had been here a couple of times before including on St Patty's Day (in the morning) so with a friend decided to drop in as many other bars were quiet in Armory Square, possibly because of the rain but then again, Syracuse nightlife and crowds are difficult to predict. The bar was filled (not packed) with a good crowd of people engaged in talk, drinking, eating and enjoying the live entertainment. My friend wanted something unusual to drink as he doesn't like beer so the bartender (Jimmy) obliged and whipped up a nice Irish Cream concoction that set the mood for my buddy to enjoy more as the night progressed. Its a nice friendly place, clean with a great assortment of Irish whiskeys and other liquors and at reasonable prices. Add in live entertainment and you have the perfect mix for a great night out.Malcolm, all of us at Kitty Hoynes thank you for your review and news of your great experience. Jimmy is great behind our bar, always happy to please and forever creating great experiences for our guests. We are glad you saw our vast Irish whiskey selection and enjoyed our live music in a friendly atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Yours Sincerely, David

Despite the hype, I wasnât expecting too much. After all, this ainât Kansas City or Memphis or Austin TX. Seriously, how good can the BBQ be in Syracuse? Well, pretty darn good as it turned out. I had a sampler platter since I donât know if Iâll ever get back. I found the ribs to be the best, but would a darn happy guy if all I got was the brisket. Ribs had a nice smoky flavor and had just a light coating of sauce which I like. You can always add more sauce and youâll find a variety at your table. If you ever find yourself in CNY needing bbq, this is the place to go!
