Acme Lowcountry Kitchen specializes in local seafood, if we cannot source it locally it is sourced off the East Coast of the USA! We do not serve seafood from any other area. We of course never serve any imported seafood. We truly believe in supporting Am
We had a birthday girl who was originally from Charleston who wanted to go back there to celebrate. Nothing like the food in South Carolina and Acme did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and deliciously preparedâfish, shrimp or oystersâdidnât matter. All were delicious. Very casual decor and laid back atmosphere. Welcoming and attentive staff. Be sure to save room for dessert! We tried several with multiple spoons and the coconut cream pie was SO good I think I will start my meal with it the next time I am here to visit. Truly a great choice if you just want good food served by good people.

Visited Dunleavy's Pub after being away from Charleston for 9 years. The place has not changed much (unlike the rest of the area) and still pours the best pint of Guinness in town. The only significant change I can see is that they now accept credit cards.

We frequent Poeâs regularly. Last visit we both had tacos. My husband had Mahi-mahi and I had Buffalo Shrimp and we both had onion straws on the side. Not only was it fresh and delightfully spiced, every bite had shrimp. I could barely hold them in the taco! This is a must visit on Sullivanâs Island.

Ate here several years ago. It was just ok this time. We were seated right next to the kitchen on high bar stool type table. This allowed us a view of the kitchen where I witnessed a cook eating while working. The pulled pork was ok and the sauces were tasty. The mac-n-cheese was kind of dry. Also, the tomato and cuke salad was made with grape tomatoes. Maybe they ran out of fresh tomatoes? Not sure. Our waitress was nice and friendly and we were served fast so that is good. It wasn't crowded. Not sure if we will return the next time we are in the area.

Staying in Mt. Pleasant for a week, we tried Sullivanâs and absolutely fell in love. The wait staff and proprietor were extremely friendly. The food....was delicious.Had the 7layer seafood casserole and the pan seared scallops the first night....yes I said first night because we came back the next night for another fantastic meal.Sad thing was that on a Friday night we passed other restaurants that had waiting lines, this one is in a residential zone so they cannot hang a sign out. People are truly missing out if they donât find this restaurant.

We LOVED High Thyme. My husband and I had Sunday brunch here and came back for Tuesday night tapas because we had such a delicious and perfect experience. The breakfast nachos are to die for and the mimosas are generous! We ordered several dishes for tapas and each one left us wanting more. Can not wait to go back!

We heard about The Obstinate Daughter from a couple sources. It has a rustic, charming, great vibe with floor to ceiling weathered wood and simple decor. The Geechie Frites, Ricotta Gnocchi, Pepperoni Pizza (no mushrooms) and Cinnamon Bun were delicious!!! We had quite a lovely lunch here, and we will definitely come back when we return to Charleston!! Highly recommend!! Arrive early or make a reservation to ensure you dine here!!

Upscale Dining in a Casual Environment. Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and Children's menus available. Happy Hour daily from 4 pm to 7 pm.
I am impressed. No, seriously impressed. My husband and I had dinner here for our wedding anniversary last month and loved it. We loved it so much, we came back and celebrated my sister's birthday! And, I came back without him for lunch, but don't tell him ;) At this point, I'm just looking for reasons to celebrate so we can make reservations at Burtons...The service is always stellar. The servers are knowledgeable and you can tell they've been trained to intentionally engage. They make the experience even more enjoyable! And the food is delicious and well-prepared...consistently. Each time I tried something new from the menu, and each time the meal was lovely. And, as a Vegetarian (pescatarian), there are a number of options for me, which I love. Plus, they will almost prepare anything you ask, and any way you ask. That's a part of their service culture. Brilliant! Lastly, and most importantly to me, because everything is made fresh, they can steer clear of allergens for you. That sealed the deal for me. I am allergic to both blue crab and coconut oil. They asked about allergies each visit, and prepared my meals accordingly...and even served them on square plates so there was no confusion at the table. Nice! I truly enjoy Burtons. It's quickly becoming our new favorite place to dine.

Wine selection was large and you could try all of them in small quantities if you wznted. The cheese and meat plate allowed for many choices. Portions were much larger than the norm on these plates and the six item plate was more than enough for dinner for the 2 of us. Bread served was excellent and unlike most places there was enough.Friendly prompt service. Try it !Hi Mr. Jim ,Thank you so much for coming into Uncork.
