We've been coming to St. Croix for the past 5 years. We find that No Bones continues to serve up consistently great food, provides excellent service, and with awesome bartending. LOVE their daily fresh fish specials and specials board items. We've had some of the best Mahii, salmon, and tuna dinners on the island. Regular menu linguine pasta bolognese is the best I've ever had! We've also enjoyed their reuben sandwiches, caesar salad, shrimp cocktails which are all very good. Prices are reasonable and they serve up generous portions. We've eaten many lunches and dinners there and have always left very satisfied.Tony the bartender is outstanding, amazingly friendly, and serves up great drinks. The wait staff gives excellent service, and the majority of staff - cooks, bartenders, servers, and owner are all very experienced and have been there for years. They are all VERY nice people and make you feel welcome. My husband & I enjoy seeing their familiar faces, and they help make every trip feel complete & enjoyable. No Bones is the perfect place for a satisfying dinner or lunch, those traveling/dining on a budget, families, and larger parties can enjoy dining in their back room and/or outside on front patio. Food is served up fairly quickly. Their air conditioning rocks and it's a great place to watch sports. Since No Bones is a local favorite, recommend calling the day before or when they open to make dinner reservations. Come once, and you'll likely return frequently.

Went for lunch(May 23,2019). Service and Atmosphere was great as usual. Food was good, menu was too limited for our "picky" teen-aged son. Have dined here for dinner in the past(April 2018) and have a similar positive experience. Will visit again.

This is a pretty typical beach bar, located on beautiful Rainbow Beach, really the only one like it on STX. You can drink, eat, enjoy the beach/ocean and water sports all in one hip spot. Cool Caribbean atmosphere, friendly staff and a diverse, lively crowd. The views are spectacular and the beach itself is worth a stop. They have music, live entertainment and try to always have something fun going on. It's definitely worth more than one visit. There is something for everyone on the menu and all the dishes we had were good but the wahoo ceviche was unforgettable - probably a favorite of myself, my mom, and my son of anywhere in the Caribbean - so tasty and so fresh.

Had breakfast here to celebrate my husbands birthday. Amazing place. The two men started with a breakfast bomb which was Jamisonâs whisky, butterscotch schnapps and o.j.There was a huge menu selection both Venezuelan and American We were spoiled for choice. I thought Iâd died and gone to heaven!Wonderful place, nice ambience great service, well worth a visit

We were looking forward to the Sunday brunch after our visit in 2017. It did not disappoint. Both of the plates that we ordered were very good and the plates were huge. A very good way to start your Sunday. While waiting for order, had a bloody mary at the bar. This was very good since you can get spicy and boy is that good.

We stopped at Turtleâs Deli on our first evening in Fredericksted, St. Croix. We had been traveling all day and wanted a quick meal near our lodging. Turtleâs offers many meat and fish dishes, but weâre vegetarian and we were surprised to find several vegetarian options. The dishes we ordered were fresh, wholesome and appetizing. Turtleâs has an adequate beer and wine menu. Their meat and fish entrées sounded excellent and are probably as good or better than our vegetarian dishes. Their sandwich menu is extensive. They also have outstanding French fries. The service was efficient and courteous and we would definitely return. A bonus is the breathtakingly beautiful view of the ocean, which was a pleasure to see after a hectic day of traveling.

A waterfront neighborhood cafe in downtown Frederiksted serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week...
Good place to eat after snorkeling at the pier all morning. Friendly staff, good prices, and good food. If you are away the pier you should check this place out.

The menu is always nice and food is well prepared and reasonably priced ass compared to the rest of the island places. Like clockwork, hubby and I migrate to St. Croix at the end of May for 9 days to celebrate our anniversary and reconnect with our island "home". Last year for our 20th, we were fortunate enough to arrange an amazing 3-course dinner with cocktail pairings featuring Cruzan Blackstrap Rum at balter. I reached out to Patrick, owner and GM of balter, again this year and he graciously agreed to do it again for us! Unfortunately, Patrick was off island during our visit, but the Assistant GM, Dave, knew just who we were and warmly welcomed us. Alex started us off with a Sazerac at the bar, and she could not have been more gracious and friendly as we savored our cocktail and munched on delicious house made popcorn. Nothing compares to a great Sazerac, and Alex brought this classic drink to the islands with a sorrel infused ice ball. We enjoyed it so much, we had to have another... Soon enough, it was time to sit down for our special dinner, marked by a lovely "Happy 21st Anniversary" placard on the same table we sat at last year. Yes, they even remembered that!! I believe our server's name was Angela, but I could be wrong. Apologies if I'm mistaken, but she was very kind and attentive and guided us perfectly through our meal. "Our" table is right next to the open kitchen, so we were able to watch Chef Brian (and another Chef whose name I unfortunately didn't get) as he cooked and smell the tantalizing aromas of our meal as the courses were prepared. Alex created a drink just for us to go with our meal that featured Blackstrap and Captain Morgan, and it was DELICIOUS. The tropical flavors paired wonderfully with our first dish...perfectly, and I do mean PERFECTLY cooked scallops with smoked fish and hints of Blackstrap. While we didn't want to take the last bite, we knew more deliciousness was on the horizon. Our second course was a juicy, smoked beef brisket over mashed potatoes, drizzled with Blackstrap gravy. UN...BE...LIEVABLE! Another of our special cocktails arrived just as we were presented with creamy Blackstrap infused ice cream and a decadent slice of chocolate cake. Chef Brian even came out to toast us with a shot of Blackstrap! VERY well-deserved after conceiving of and preparing such an unforgettable meal. On balter's website, Patrick is quoted saying "Itâs the warmth of the staff that makes balter special." That statement could not be more true, and we can't say enough how much we appreciate the efforts of every team member. The care they feel for their guests is palpable and elevates what could be just another amazing meal into a one of a kind and truly memorable experience. Thank you so much, and we can't wait to see you all next year!!We love the opportunity to help make your 21st Anniversary so special! It'll only keep getting bette every year after! Congratulations you two! You two are an inspiration for love! Thanks so much of the great review! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
