Reviews on American food in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Along the Truckee River in the tranquil Truckee Meadow is fast-growing Sparks, Nevada, Reno's less flamboyant neighbor to the east. Although home to only one high rise casino, Sparks offers visitors other pleasures with live festivals and events in open air venues, a lively farmers' market, a multiplex theater and less pricey accommodations than its high-rolling neighbor. Its proximity to both Reno's casinos and Lake Tahoe makes Sparks a perfect destination for a Northern Nevada Vacation.

A little noisy. Typical diner feel. Food was good, but my order was wrong. I ordered an egg white omelette with spinach only and a small side of bacon. I got an egg white omelette with cheese and chopped bacon in it. Every time coffee was refilled, we had to remind our server that we had decaf coffee. It is located just down the street from Northern Nevada Hospital so itâs a convenient place to go if you have someone at the hospital. Also close to Legends mall and Sparks Marina.

Charlie Palmer Steak Reno in the Grand Sierra Resort is a study in contemporary contrasts, from blonde wooden walls enhanced by mica and leather accents, to midnight blue, deep terracotta and espresso texture fabrics, and stylish booths, featuring natural
For our anniversary dinner, we splurged here. The service and setting is excellent. The vodka gimlet was perfect. We had a beautiful shrimp cocktail and an oyster plate for appetizers. I must say, they were some of the smallest oysters Iâd ever seen but the shrimp were huge and beautifully plated. My husband got the large filet; he loved every tender bite. I had the halibut which was beautiful but a bit on the dry side. We shared the twice baked truffle potato. We were gifted with our choice of dessert for our anniversary. We chose the creme brûlée which we got to go as we knew weâd enjoy it more later. Our servers arranged it beautifully.

... to a member of this chain was outstanding. The service was friendly, personalized, and efficient. Comfort food is the specialty of the house. Portions are huge, and even the "Little Less" selections can provide two meals for all but the most hungry.

The Sparks Coffee Shop is a local favorite. Open for breakfast and lunch, this family owned and operated restaurant offers outstanding flavors presented artfully to enhance the dining experience. Iâve had multiple lunches and breakfast here and have been wowed each and every time. I really appreciate the fact that the staff is very professional yet recognize return customers and always serve with a smile. I highly recommend the Sparks Coffee Shop!

Iâve been visiting the Oyster Bar in the Sparkâs Nugget Casino since the 1970s. Food has always been great and consistent. This last visit was a little different. First, missed the uniforms that have been a staple. Appreciated the same decor. Ordered the lobster Louie which was $25 (lunch). The portion was generous, but a bit light on the lobster. Lobster was also a little chewy. The staff used to be older. The younger staff spends too much time chatting instead of working.

The food was really good and they had an interesting selection of beers that are brewed on site. We ate here for lunch and weren't sure if it was going to be kid friendly. They have kids menu's and crayons which not many brew places offer. We had the burger and the shepard's pie. The pie was a pass but the burger was amazing. They also have inside or patio seating which was nice. we sat inside.

I went here with a coworker for lunch when I was visiting the area. This was a good place for lunch. The restaurant smelled like BBQ, which was great. I ended up ordering the crazy ass which came with a pork slider, 2 pork ribs, fries with BBQ sauce and pork on top with sour cream and green onion on the side for mixing in. All food was great, but sat a little heavy with all the fries. Overall, I would not hesitate to go back and try more items on the menu.

Amazing service and all around delicious food. The 18 oz New York steak is excellent. All the food is fresh. They serve a Palette cleanser of fresh sorbet with or without champagne. Reservations are highly recommended.

Had high expectations since it called itself a Taproom, but was basically a restaurant with a few beer selections on tap. One I tried was not anything special. did have the double chocolate bread pudding and it was great. Bar staff not really friendly.
