This time I had a Western omelette and the outside was as good as the inside! Don't miss out on the superb homefries! Good crispy bacon and great toast! I like the coffee just fine!French toast wonderful good.I could do without the Obama political decorations but that doesn't matter.

Oyster pub specializing in coastal Southern cooking with a wide array of hard-to-get bourbons, delicious wines, and craft beers in scenic Southport!
I can't say enough good things about this place! The oysters were great and fresh. We did an array of appetizers and oysters. Lobster rangoons are made fresh daily! The service was top notch as well! Brody was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He is a total asset to this restaurant! Ally and Ryan were also very pleasant and accommodating. We made it a point to visit Moore Street Oyster Bar twice in our week in the Carolina's because it's just that great!!! We will be back!

This is a restaurant located on the water. For the best experience, sit outside and enjoy the view! The food and service are excellent. I especially enjoyed the ambience of the outside dining. The food is really fresh and incredible. Most of the seafood is local and tastes fresh and has a great presentation. The clam chowder is some of the best I've had.

We had bbq chicken, fish sandwich, pork chops, salad. Good home cooking, great veggies, all food was eaten and the plates were clean. Limited hours, nice place for home cooking.

Located on the historic Old Yacht Basin, the Frying Pan features fresh, local favorites from grilled and pan-seared seafood to perfectly fried specialties. Combined with savory homemade sweet potato biscuits and desserts by our own Ms. Dot, the Frying Pan
We recently have had dinner several times over the summer. The menu features fresh local seafood, and has amazing homemade sweet potato biscuits. You can have your fish grilled, fried, or blackened. I also enjoyed the shrimp and corn chowder. Lovely view from inside or out on the deck.

Exquisite dining on the Cape Fear-where southern cuisine and exceptional wines and spirits meet the salubrious breezes of Southport.
Stopped in for lunch and were promptly seated. Service by Lectoria was outstanding. We were in a bit of a rush and she helped us navigate the menu quickly and ensured that our orders were timely. We started with the Jimmy Shrimp, which were excellent, followed by the softshell BLT and the southern burger. Both of the mains were great. Nice selection of beer. Overall, good value.

Downtown at 116 N Howe St. Southport, NC 28461 Two blocks from the water.
Fresh bread, delicious soup, great salads. Wonderful selection of red and white wines, plus signature cocktails. The main course was top notch-filet mignon with crab, mash potatoes and brussels sprouts with balsamic. Finish with a cappuccino and tartufo. Wonderful dining.

First time trying this place and wonât be back. I expected so much more after reading the glowing reviews and then we were quite disappointed. They were full and busy, but I wouldnât actually consider that a compliment to the place as I usually would. There is only about 6 tables for the whole restaurant and two of them being outside. Ofcourse, not counting the small bar area.A family member called first to inquire how busy they were and explained whoever answered the phone was quite rude and uninviting with curt one word answers.Hi, are yâall really busy right now.She replied, yes.Do you have a wait for a table? She replied, yes.Okay, how long is the wait? She replied, 15 minutes. As each inquiry was made she seemed more disgusted and couldnât be bothered. She could have replied with the first question. âWe are currently full and have a 15 minute waitâ. Anyway, we should have just went somewhere else, but we had not tried this place yet on one of our previous Southport visits and passed it off as someone having a bad day answered the phone. The place is so small and we often caught the staff and assuming older manager lady talking negatively about the guests. A lot of talk about wanting the night to be over...The food was just average, so between the the lady that answered the phone who couldnât be bothered to encourage a family to come in for a great experience and the unprofessional atmosphere, I would say pass. If you are a serious beer drinker you may enjoy your experience more, but as a friendly family restaurant, not impressed.

A longtime Southport institution, one of the top dining spots in town. Low Country-leaning menu. Good wine list
I love this restaurant! I always get the underground tuna because itâs so delicious and so much better than anywhere else. Service and food are always great here and we can always take guests here and know we will have a wonderful experience. Donât ever leave!
