One of the Sandhills' premiere restaurants is just a short trip away in Southern Pines, NC. Come enjoy award-winning steak and service at Beefeaters. All beef is western aged and we have nightly specials at our upscale, casual restaurant. Locally owned fo
Dinner is always a treat at Beefeaters! The grilled chicken is a win and the prime rib is consistently delicious. Although they do not offer a large variety of sides, the ones they offer are tasty. Although they do accept reservations, it's easy to get a seat if you go early enough and the lounge is an option as well. If you're in the area and looking for a nice steakhouse, I would highly recommend Beefeaters!

We are a fresh breath of class and style in the Sand Hills of North Carolina. Located in Southern Pines, we offer an atmosphere of relaxed elegance, where steak is our specialty.
The restaurant is in the middle of the quaint downtown on Southern Pines. It has a lovely outdoor terrace and a gorgeous interior space. The menu is typical steakhouse fare with seafood, salads and burgers. The wine list seems comprehensive as does the specialty cocktail list. We ate in the bar. I got the wedge and grilled salmon. My fellow dinner got the tomahawk chop. Both were great. Highly recommended.

We came here for our anniversary and it was delicious. It was our first time at Chef Warrens. Our server was polite and did not hover over us. The food was great! My wife had the duck and I had one of the specials, ostrich and duck sausage. Definitely make reservations, they were full by 6:30 pm.

Ashten's is a downtown Southern Pines institution. For over 21 years we have been sourcing and serving local ingredients that best tell the story of our area.
The service and atmosphere were nice but the food was nothing special. We had the squash blossom for appetizer and it just tasted like fried crust. I think there was supposed to be goat cheese in it? I had the cashew crusted chicken with risotto. The risotto was not good and green. The chicken was nothing special. Very disappointing meal for $60. Dear tmiller461,I'm so sorry that you did not enjoy your dinner at Ashten's. We work very hard to please all of our customers and I'm very disappointed that you were unhappy with your meal. We are known for our fresh, local and creative cuisine but I apologize that we fell short of your and our expectations. We would love to make it up to you if you would allow us to send you a gift certificate to dine with us again. Please contact us through our email, [email protected] and we will get one in the mail to you immediately. Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I hope you will allow us to change your mind about our food.Best,Ashley Van CampAshten's

Stopped in here after reading they had Nawlins style Chargrilled oysters. While this is a thing on their menu, they are more of an inspired-by, than actual tak on the dish. We ordered two-dozen of these, and what came out was a bit disappointing. They were very small oysters, some with butter, some with cheese, and all on shells that were flamed way too hot for the recipe. Instead of cooking the oysters in the butter garlic sauce and letting the cheese melt, it seemed as though they grilled raw oysters and then after threw some melted butter on top. They were not bad (minus one rotted oyster), but they were not worth the $44. After this strikeout, tried the alligator cheesecake. This was actually quite good. We also got a dozen raw oysters, three different locations, all were fine. All in all, I would definitely recommend the alligator and have others pass on their oysters.

I visited four restaurants while in Souther Pines area and this was the best all round experience. I loved the decor, ambience and the overall high quality of the restaurant. My server was excellent, friendly yet very efficient at the same time. My salad followed by ravioli were excellent and I really enjoyed the whole experience.

Conveniently located in the heart of dowtown Southern Pines the newly renovated location spotlights quality and creativity with every detail. Warm colors, combined with hand crafted wood work and unique decor create a very comfortable, casual atmosphere t
We had a reservation to celebrate my birthday for seven adults and two babies. The problem started when two entrees came out but we hadnât even gotten salads. About five minutes later, all salads came out. Just a couple minutes passed when the rest of the entrees came out except one. So, didnât get to enjoy salads. After at least ten minutes, the last entree still not out. By this time I had stopped eating and was upset and requested the manager. Still waiting, and after about another 10 minutes the entree finally comes. Everyone else is finishing up. And server says sheâs going to try to get a another manager to come by. I told her never mind. After a conversation with the server, it is my opinion that the manager (GM) didnât care. I was offered a business card for a free appetizer/dessert. Very sad. I was told the manager was serving too. Poor management. And the food wasnât that good. They did comp the cost of the late entree, but it was too little - too late. Donât go! Iâm excluding pictures of our checks. We are certainly disappointed in the errors that affected your experience with us yesterday. Unfortunatley, as hard as we work and no matter how much focus and attention we give to be perfect, we understand we will never be 100% perfect although we continue to try to be so. We are not sugeons, pilots or astronauts- although we train for zero errors -we have human hearts and hands working toward consistent perfection, sometimes something fails. We are sorry the evening left you so upset. We do handle hundreds of dinners every evening and most often we are extremely consistent with delivering exceptional service, we are sorry on this rare occassion a monkey wrench was thrown into our procedures and our efforts went down with the ship. Regarding your service, our systems and human error did fallshort and unfortunately several issues affected the timing of the delivery of your food. Although your items were not coursed properly your entrees were delivered to each guest at your table with the exception of one, whose entree was delayed. It was unfornate the young lady had to wait for her entree however, we gladly took that item off her bill. We were unaware there were any other menu item complaint(s) during your visit. With all parties of 6 or more we do add gratuity - although you had some service issues these issues had nothing to do with the servers performance. Although the manager on duty was unable to speak with you directly she made attempts to overcome your disappointment by taking off the young lady's entree and providing you with a free sandwich/appetizer card for a next visit. We are sorry this was an unsatisfactory attempt.

I had the reuben on rye and was rather pleased. The bread was toasted and the pastrami was perfect. My friend had the veggie sandwich without the focaccia bread and he loved it. We came at the height of the lunch crowd so our service was a bit slow. The cafe is nice and clean and well decorated. This is a great place for lunch just tucked in off Broad street. I highly recommend it and will be back.

At here on a Friday night. Only available tables were outside which had a nice feel and the weather was perfect for it. Pimento cheeses appetizer served with fried wontons which was a neat twist. A lot of typical bar fare but with some good twists Good beer selection and service was on point. Can't go wrong here and you will get a solid meal.Thank you! We really appreciate your generosity. It's always nice to know that we are moving in the right direction.
