This is where the locals go because this is truly a hidden gem. I had the best beer Iâve ever had - really. All of the food is excellent - burgers, Mac & cheese & sliders (special).

The Duck Inn is a favorite lunch and Dinner spot for me ( they also serve breakfast) The dinner and bar are separate but their great food is served in both. You care an also get a cocktail in the diner. The food is standard dinner and quite tasty. The service is FANTASTIC. I alway order the honey chicken pita wrap with tater tots, a huge salad or one of their many burgers.

Already rated the BW King salmon hotel but than I saw that there was a separate site to review for the restaurant itself, so...Eat out here since we stayed in the hotel.Greeting was nice.Took the halibut which was cooked to perfection, our tour-leader congratulated the chef and his son for making such a fine dinner in such a short time. The waitress was super friendly and served everybody of our group of 17 (!) with a happy smile, thank you !The next morning we had breakfast in the same restaurant and again the service and the food was great.Highly recommendable restaurant.

We were traveling through Soldotna on our way to Homer and one of the tour guides at the Homestead Museum recommended this cafe when I asked, "can you recommend a local cafe that is not touristy?" She was right. Local residents frequent this place and I can see why. Food is fresh and delicious. I had soup and a half of a sandwich both great. All four of us liked our lunch. Even though they were very busy they found a creative way to seat us quickly. Reasonably priced. Browse the book store and you can find nice take away gifts too.
Home cooked meals & desserts ready to pickup for yourself, your family, or your group. Everything is made from scratch by hand with love.
I went by after they closed. But they served me. Had beef stroganoff and damn that was good. Tasted so good. Also grabbed these ham and cheese rolls. Kinda like hot pockets. But handmade. Took for breakfast and lunch next day while fishing. They were good cold. I can only imagine what it was like hot. This isnât your normal âhomemadeâ you see everywhere. This is a family owned place. Where the food actually tastes like your mom made it. If she was a great cook. Donât let the plain store look fool you. I found a gem that I wasnât even looking for. I suggest trying it out you wonât be disappointed Thank you so much! I remember you coming in and I believe from across the street. It was wonderful to chat with you about your trip and I'm beyond happy that you enjoyed everything...even cold. Hope to see you again when if your travels bring you down to the Peninsula. Take care,Sherri McVey

This restaurant is truly exceptional in both food and service. We started with the edamame followed by the house salad. Our main courses were the curried halibut with yellow rice, crab pasta, and the steak. Our deserts were the cheesecake, strawberry shortcake and the chocolate skillet. Everything, and I mean everything, was utterly delicious. Our only child in the party had the buffalo slider which she loved. Our server was Alice and she was the best. If you come to Soldotna and you love outstanding food and service you need to give this place a try. You will not regret it.

Mykel's is one of the Kenai Peninsula's finest restaurants for lunch and dinner. Our dinner menu features fresh Alaskan seafood & choice steaks as well as chicken, pork, pasta and rack of lamb entrees. We also offer a full spectrum of appetizers, salads,
We had reservations for early evening. The hostess greeted us and gave us excellent seating. Server arrived and provided great suggestions with prompt and friendly service. The food was great for most of us - prime rib, fried fish and (not) chips (french fries), scallops with mushroom sauce, and bolgnese something. Except for the unfortunate who ordered the Bolgnese noodles, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My dish was the scallops and mushroom sauce. I will have it again and gladly recommend it to anyone else. Our desserts included cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and creme brulee. All good. Plus before meals cocktails. Really, except for the Bolgnese thingy, excellent everything. And not to disparage the Bolgnese...if you are interested in a simple cottage style meal, that might be just the thing you want.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Homer. A nice little cozy sports bar with several tVs on the walls. College football and baseball. The menu was very descriptive in word and photo and we ordered almost everything to share: wedge salad, rib dinner with fries, fried chicken wingsl The fries were outstanding: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were all real potatoes --different lengths -- and not the fast food oddly all identical potatoes you see so often. The wings were good as were the meaty ribs. The BBQ sauce was not too sweet and not too thick and cloying but could have used a dash or two of hot sauce to give it a bit more personality. Naturally, we could not finish what we ordered and packed up the leftovers. The server was super friendly and accommodating and brought me a sip of one of the wines so I could taste it and see if I liked it.We look forward to stopping here again on our long drive between Anchorage and Homer.

We stopped at this Pizza Pub on our way to Homer. Wasnât our first choice but read about it and through weâd give it a try. The food is average. The interior doesnât look great. The wait staff was very helpful. It is an average type place- not anything stellar.

Fabulous! Our YMT tour guide highly recommended this family owned eating establishment for top notch BBQ and we are so glad he did! We had the beef brisket sandwich and it was delicious and tender! The fries and cole slaw were tasty and homemade! The portions were ample--the soda pop is big enough for two! The service is friendly and fast!
